Today, the party was enslaved by orc pirates, led by an 8th level warlock named Marloz the Witch.  The party is currently 1st level.  They wisely decided that escape was not the best course of action.  Now they're the vanguard of an orc pirate raiding party.

It's a good party.

This is such a strange wrong opinion I can't tell if I'm falling for bait, The Line has a lot of flaws but nothing about the plot turns out generic.

I guess it's a generic take on Heart of Darkness except when it totally isn't.

I think it's an easy game to criticize on fictional grounds, but it tried real hard, which I admire.

I love the metafictional puncture in the second helicopter sequence.

Should probably let the plot develop a little further than just thirty minutes. As for generic military shooter, not a lot you can do mechanics wise in that setting

Yeah, uh, I think you start hitting the important stuff, like, right after the 30-minute mark. I played through it for the first time recently myself and it is absolutely a unique experience.

You should give it a little more time to pull the rug out from under you!

I'm playing/reading an android game called lifeline.

Basically, you receive mayday transmissions / texts from someone stranded on a barren moon and offer advice on their situations. Fourth wall stuff.


It's short but very engaging.

I decided to try out the WipEout series ; started by the very first one (the DOS version). That's hardcore as **** (maybe the hardest arcade racing game I have ever played), but damn I love it

Speaking of Android games:
Final Fantasy Record Keeper. Build simple teams of characters from all the FF games and play just battles, all of the battles. The battle system is a bit simplified, but it's pretty fun. The pay system is actually really innocuous! "Stamina" recovers quickly, and real money currency is not needed, so far at least.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion or rather the mod Star Trek Armada III for it. God damn they went above and beyond with that mod.
