Hello guys!
I bought FreeSpace 2 when it was pretty recent and I totally loved it. I tried FSO in the past, pretty old builds, which weren't as advanced as now.
So far I successfully installed:

- The most recent FSO Installer
- SCP Build 3.6.12 RC1
- The Shaders in the RC1 Thread
- Hollywood Effects

But I have some questions regarding visual upgrades.

1. Is there another "Explosion" effect? I'm starting to get a little tired of the stock effect, even if its still cool consindering the age of the game
2. Is there another "Debris" effect? Like when a Beam Cannon rips through another Ship releasing debris and burning material (I think I saw a thread somewhere where this has been discussed)
3. Still looking for more shaders and effects like Depth of Field, Motion Blur, Desaturation maybe.

FreeSpace 2 has been revived on my Hard Drive thanks to those great coders on this Forum. But still I try to squeeze more visual quality out of this game and its rewritten Engine. I used the search funktion quite but there are so unbelievable many pages of threads its hard and time consuming to click through everything.. I hope u dont get mad at me ^^

Be aware that post-processing is still considered a highly experimental feature, and will probably go through a few more revisions before effects like these can be implemented properly.

Get the Blue Planet Director's Cut, and the optional 3.6.12 package from the "Black Market" thread. It includes a few new effects.

Thanks! But can I play the regular campaign with the Blue Planet TC/MOD activated and new effects? So I get the new Effects in the regular stock FreeSpace 2 Campaign? I just want to revive FreeSpace 2 first before I go for new Fanmade Campaigns

Yes. While it wasn't designed with that capability in mind, it is possible. Just remember to use an Inferno build.

Nothing worth using when stuff like Nighteyes' effect pack is available.

Where do I find this Effect Pack from Nighteye? Does it cover even Fighter Explosions or just the Big Ship explosions and Flaks ?
