Favorite Game Character
This has probably been done before, but I'm a little too lazy to check.  :)

I'm curious to see where this will go.  Give your favorite char, what game is he/she from, and why.  Also, post a pic if you can.  I'm interested to see what kind of gaming diversity we have here.

My favorite: Wren, from Phantasy Star:  The End of the Millennium.  7ft tall android carrying a massive plasme cannon.  Also has multiple internal weapon systems.  Runs the entire climate control system in Algo.  Essentially, he's God.

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.

Bumper stickers at my college:
"Republicans for Voldemort!"
"Frodo failed.  Bush got the Ring."

Resistance is futile!  (If < 1 ohm...)

"Any nation which sacrifices a little liberty for a little security deserves neither and loses both." -- Benjamin Franklin

The guy ruining Mario's ****.

Snake Plissken, the perpetuation of ass kicking. He has no pansy emotions. Other characters do. He's just there for the ass kicking. And he moves around in a BOX.

Snake is the man.

but....let us delve into game history and try and bring up another one.

Jake Logan (Tachyon: The Fringe)

One Bad ass mercenary pilot, featuring the vocal stylings of Bruce Campbell.  Perhaps not the best developed characters of all time, but any character that brings Campbell to the table is alright by me.

Re: Favorite Game Character
Kane was awesome in C&C but seemed like a bit of a nut in TS. In C&C3, I hope they make him closer to what he was like in the original game.

I would say either Riddick or Sam Fisher. Those guys had attitudes like nobody else. :D

Leon S. Kennedy, a la Resident Evil 4.  Kicks parasite ass, carries around a ****load of weapons in a suitcase, and gets to hang around with/rescue a hot college chick in a short skirt and tight sweater. ;)

Oh, and Link.  Because...he's Link.

Does there exist a StarFox Mod?  Yes!  Check out Shadows of Lylat!

That thing…its just too persistant.

Sadhal thought to himself in between his pants. After a few seconds, his breathing came under control, and the pain subsided. Sadhal couldn’t help but feel a significant amount of fear and apprehension.

Re: Favorite Game Character
The man who makes the impossible possible...

Solid Snake

I like him because he's not a ridiculously over-the-top action hero like Rambo, but not some sissy like James Bond trying to keep blood off his tuxedo. I also like how he acknowledges that killing is wrong and feels bad about it, yet keeps on doing it because he has to and it's the only thing he's good at. Oh, plus he fights giant robots on foot.

Re: Favorite Game Character
Samus Aran, definitely. More kills than pratically any other character, and how many of them have blown up two planets (three if you count Dark Aether destabilizing) single-handedly?
