Newbie: ThrustMaster FCS setup

I'm pretty sure its my lack of experience on the subject but I'm having trouble figuring out how to map the bindings in Target gui. I can combine the throttle and the stick and it shows up in wxlauncher. but any of the bindings i've done in target don't respond in fso when i launch it through wxlauncher
