Yeah.  Turns out only the fvec needs flipping.  The uvec should be exactly the same as the turret normal.

Solaris and Daegon are the best in my opinion. Old Horizon is not bad too. I don't like shapes and textures of Esarai's new models.

You're right :P. I prefer tilemapping and more FSish shapes. Esarai newest models like Horizon and Phoenix Rising don't suit to Freespace universe [Unless they're using as ships of some new alien race... or something].

Yeah, that is what's great about Esarai's newer, smoother ships. Their design are flexible enough that they work as Vasudan or Terran.

Also, smooth shapes != FSish shapes.
