Looking at Generals, I have a feeling it's going to suck though. The original westwood is pretty much non-existent today.Generals was in every sense not a C&C game. It had the title, but it was a completely different game. It wasn't in the same universe, it was a drastically different playstyle, and it has utterly no commonality with any other C&C title whatsoever other than the prefix "Command & Conquer" in its title.

I dunno, it could very well have been. After all, the USA's Particle Beam in Generals could very well be some predecessor to the Ion Cannon, and the GLA in Generals could have evolved into NOD along the way.

The Tiberium universe of TD and TS began with Red Alert 1 [meaning Einstein is to blame for the Tiberium Wars], as at the end of RA, you see Kane knock out the Soviet Leadership. Red Alert 2 was a bastard-child universe produced to make money, and while it was actually a pretty damned good entry into the series, it completely screwed up continuity and effectively branched the RA universe off from the Tiberium universe. So really, i'm not entirely sure if RA is still a prequel to TD.
Oh, by just over a bloody day! Gimme a break, just checked PCNC for the first time in few weeks.
The technology of Peace.
KANE LIVES IN DEATH !!!!!!!
Although Eva has the sexiest voice, The blonde from Nod is so much more pleasing on the eye......
I thought this was old news, btw.
I don't know... I thought Eva in RA2 was rather... ermm... :cool:Ooooooh yeeeaaah...
Supersoaker 300 or standard water pistol?Your choice. Personally, i'll be going for the Super-soaker filled with Hot Mustard.
You dare insult Kari Wuher?!
You. Me. Pistols at dawn.
Is it me or videos with actual people just make the game better?
Oh for... while this may be an internet forum, is it really that hard to leave the overtly tasteless statements to people like an0n who know how to use them? You dare insult Kari Wuher?!
You. Me. Pistols at dawn.
If I must bang one of them, I'd still choose the NOD blonde.

PS: Can I take my minigun instead?
I swear Kane is the most charismatic villain I have ever seen in all my years as a player. You simply cant hate him, I still remember playinng RA with the soviets and seeing him there and thinking :wtf: is he doing there?. I'll still have to crush him with again though, :( such is war.
Edit: Just watch his trailer and what can I say? You cant kill the Messiah (does anyone know the name of the guy who plays him? I know its the director but I dont remember the name.). Is it me or videos with actual people just make the game better?

Joseph D. Kucan != Udo Kier.
I personally prefered Yuri to Kane. Kane was much more "Mwahahaha!" villain than I could stand (but that may just have been from Tiberian Sun). Yuri was a much more subtle evil genius (especially about halfway through the Soviet campaign in RA2), and I loved it. He's up there with my favorite villains of all time, movie and game.

Kane was more of that kind of villain (subtle evil genius) in the first C&C and he was better there than on Tiberian Sun.

Maybe; I've not played any GDI/NOD game since Renegade and Tiberian Sun, so I may just be getting a bad impression of Kane.
Original C&C rocks, still my favorite of the series.
By the way, has anybody noticed the conspicuous absence of any footage of NOD forces in anything released up to now? What do you mean, we've seen NOD Buildings, infantry, and a few vehicals.
I was kind of expecting a mysterious 3rd side of alien origin due to a leaked concept art months ago.
I was kind of expecting a mysterious 3rd side of alien origin due to a leaked concept art months ago. Well, since we've got no words on it whatsoever, I'd guess NOD's got some wicked new tools in their sleeves.

Yes, somewhat dragonish I think. Isn't the storyline effectively this race dropping Tiberium* to weaken the Earth and possibly terraform prior to invasion?
*scarily, I've never played any of these games yet know this.
I don't like the look of the Mammoth tanks. They look skeletal, not massive. :ick: The original C&C had great Mammoths; I don't know why they departed so far from that look.Mmm... they should be twice as big as those trucks you can see in the picture. Mammoth should really mean something. I hope those are just heavy tanks!
