erm the mission where i have to kill diablos main beam crashes the game...no error no nothing every single time :(

Solution: Don't use the SCP for that mission, it was not supported back then

Seems to vary per system and SCP version used. I had no problems running through it the once that I did with the SCP, and my modified R1/2 hybrid missions run fine.

Perhaps its due to errors you fixed in the models included.  I traced it back to one of the 2 SOC wings that jump in, or the weapons they are carying.

Doubt it was the models, only the Banshee was redone to be on a single map. But that was recently which is well after the time I ran through it with SCP. I got no crashes with the standard models.

Trivial - Can you try and trace the bug more specifically?  For instance, see if you can determine whether it's the model or the weapon used or one of the sexp cues.  If we could figure out what exactly causes the bug we'd have a better idea of how to fix it. :)

I would, but I'm working on my own campaign right now.  Maybe in a few weeks when I get the first segment done, I'll give it a whirl again.

actually:
the problem concerning kocking out diablo's main gun causing the game to crash happened to me too.

solution: use cheats.
use the ~+K to kill the diablo's, then there is no problem.

however: the mission after that crashes mysteriously during loadtime i believe.

M8 won't work with normal fs open.

SCP sometimes skips the missions.

Weird as Inf R1 is only 7 missions long and crashes now and then. Diablo mission was one of the worst, might have something to do with memory loss? No?

I played it once with the pre ht&l build (3.5.5) and it worked just fine.

yeah but now non-htl is really slow, and that mission won't work in htl.

Exactly. I got brought from the mission where we first meet Shivans into something ~where you attack the EA installations. Hmmm.

I had the same problem. For me it crashed after the beam was destoryed and the destoryer jumped in. What I did is lower all the detail settings and the res. settings.
I finally destoryed the Shivan armada and all I got was this lousy T shirt.

problem:
If i have fsopen installed, the **** won't start up normally again (freespace2), i just get a "debug error".
