Have you guys heard of the videogame The Last of Us is being turned into a HBO TV show instead of a film?

This is a good move from film to TV, considering a huge amount of time needed for a story like The Last of Us videogame to develop, something I would endorse fully.

Personally, I wanted a TV series of FreeSpace. And a TV series based on videogame properties such as Dota, Warcraft, Team Fortress 2, Half-Life and Portal. Possibly, I (and many others) want a TV series based on Mortal Engines, City of Ember, Inkheart, 2012's Total Recall, etc.

I really can't think of a single good cinema product based on a video game, and very very few good video games based on TV/movies. When's the Cinemax production of Mass Effect coming out though?

It's been rushed. It could have more time to develop. Just like the 2018 Mortal Engines before it.

BTW, I've released my Fractured Suns demo on ModDB, General Battuta. That project is also known as the pre-2018 incarnation of Shattered Stars. I've reworked them, and I used the factions "Hegemony of Galactic Rim Worlds" and the "Authority," plus one new alien faction. I have yet to receive any feedback on improving the Fractured Suns campaign, which I am going to make it on the forums momentarily.

Don't know, but it could be related somewhow. It's due to the current media-ecosystem and the age of manufactured nihilism we're living in, as well as flooding the zone with s**t propaganda, a technique pioneered in our time by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and used by Breitbart's Steve Bannon to a great effect. Not to mention the rise of fake news on both the left-wing and the right-wing, perhaps by the same Red-Brown coalition.

I guess that Rome Viharo and Abd Lomax need to look at it.
