i see a game under tracker 28342 but it says I don't have the mission "joust"

That means that you don't have the mission 'joust' ... ;)

That's the level the server has chosen to play in.

You and the server could turn on automatic level download to have the server send it you.

You and the server could turn on automatic level download to have the server send it you.

good idea shoulda done that.

I would like to try to host a server although i have no idea if it is going to work

I don't know.

All of the weapons are replaced with shield orbs, is this a bug?

I found the problem. I had it set so that items like weppons where not allowed on the map. so it replaced them with shield balls

Figured it was somthing like that, because the LAN games I've had with my brother haven't had that problem. I never knew laser / conc fights could be so fun.

One thing I did think was a bug (or a configuration error on my part). The reactors appeared as a robot that didn't move and didn't shoot, and if I shot at it my shots went right through.

Mars,

the reactor problem can be due to a bug. I had a 'disable reactor' menu option and have removed it because it caused problems. It is still present in the multiplayer options data though, and maybe set to 1 in your player profile - I didn't think of that. I will fix that.

I'd have to say this is the most stable version I've seen yet, although, I still want my weapon / inventory icons in multiplayer, but it seems to depend on the server, so I imagine it's a config thing (I'll be honest, I was lazy and havn't replaced my pilot file yet, I'll see if that makes a difference.)

I will look more into the weapon icons problems next week (will be away over the weekend). I managed to get them working by turning them on in singleplayer though, after that they worked in multiplayer too.

Edit:

HUD icon bug fixed. It only occured when joining a running game, not when joining while the server was still waiting for players in his player selection list.

Okay, now that we have this shiny new version that solves virtually all of our problems (that we know of) who'll host ths weekend, I've tried several times, but it doesn't work, so, anyone else?

Well, I'll try setting up a Tracker one last time, same old port 28342, for a few hours.

It temporarially went down for several minutes the same time I edited this message.

if you are using the tracker now your game does not show up on it
