hi i have the folowwing errors when trying to launch the first mission. ive installed everything i need and its all in the right place

You have not installed everything correctly. Please post an fs2_open.log.

i have installed everything i need and everything is in correct place. I read over the fourms and readme's on what i needed and where it has to go

game is crashing on me when i try to launch debug mod also

Redownload the mv_root.vp, I think it is corrupted. This would explain the first error posted, as the file it complains about is in mv_root.
