i downloaded lightspeed's nebula pack (all 3 of them, replaced stars.tbl with the 3rd and largest one) and all my nebula backgrounds from the FS2 campaign seem to have disappeared.  Is that supposed to happen?  How do I fix this?

That is supposed to happen. You can't fix it.

You will (like me) have to wait for a new SCP executable that supports larger stars.tbl files.

That's exactly the same sun like in earlier images.

question: would it be possible to ad some type of glow/shine/transparancy mask so that when you're in a nebula mission, the sun gets a halo?

I should try and make a FS version of that one, for stars like Capella, or old stars:

Pb is, I've lost the scene, and I can't remember how I did that effect

That's pretty nice. Actually, I had an animated capella star planned for version 3

Now if you could find that scene that would be really, really cool.
