Actually that mission is quite fun once you learn how to do it.  It's a good exercise in tactics, multitasking, and managing your wigmen effectively :P

I got it in about 3 on Medium. Or was it Hard?

Yeah, I got it my second try on Medium, then was surprised to find out that it was generally considered to be nasty tough. The first try only failed because I was out of trebs when the Ravana jumped in.

Of course, I thought I read somewhere that the mission was made easier in a patch... so maybe that has something to do with it too?

Unless the SEXPs didn't trigger properly, or cheats were used, the Ravanas' first salvo, which is scripted would have taken its hull down a significant percentage.

No, it actually happened once, i tried running on an older build. Don't remember what it was, but the ravanas just sat there.
