Strangely enough, the HUD in the cockpit is horizontally-reversed.

Hah, after seeing that I tried the same thing on my dual screen setup
Crosshair straight in the center, a horrible stretched view. Yeah, doesn't work so well for me  :lol:

There shouldn't have need to change fov... well at least i didn't have to.
Anyway The hud will be stretch across your screen regardless your fov (that's a bit frustating to be so close to a full multiscreen support but nevermind.
Two screen setup always had this problem : cross hair are divided beetwin the two screen.
To have a 3 screen support the only ways are :
-Have a matrox tiplehead 2 go  :pimp:
-Using softh (software solution for triplehead gaming (need 2 graphic card) and running fs2 in directx mode  :nervous:

Cockpit doesn't looks good because they do not use the new cockpit code.
I mean they just have "show ship" tag in the ships table and with that tag you see the cockpit used for the external view.
Now this is time to show up our work in progress total conversion  called : The end project
It use a hi res cockpit (no rtt yet so it is not dynamic) , it is based on a home made universe, and will be released as a mod first (multiplayer/coop demo)
and then as a stand alone.
First episode will be named : enlight the galaxy

and as we are in the celebration topic, here is a cockpit view (in triple screen) of the Tyranic's old light fighter (designed for scouting)  the Litebringer mk1
In the front of the cross hair we can see a old Lite carrier named T-car "The Answer" A 300years old tyranics carrier (wip , has no turet yet)

Could be improved with multiple viewports or some clever use of render-to-texture, methinks. Might require scripting, and I'm not sure rtt works right now. Nuke has been complaining about it not working for some time, anyway.

Yes, or GTF Leto as my mod calls it. I made that icon myself. The image was taken from the ship lab, brightened and given higher contrast, and set in the shield pieces from the SF Dragon icon. They follow the wings perfectly. And speaking of the Leto, my modified texture:



Will the BP version of the model come with a pilot in the cockpit?

Multiple viewports? do you mean different view on each screen?
The Interest of triplehead setup is to increase the view angle to fit something more close to your eye's view.
But yes, having the radar for exemple rendered on my 4th screen in full screen  (a projector) would be sweet  :lol:
Rtt, i tought about it to replace the stretched hud, but i have to understand how lua works first...  :nervous:
A complete process for rtt would be great to help little modding team to implement those rtt.
