Is the ship normal mapped? If not, we can get that done.
If BP gets this ship I promise to do my best in normalmapping it.

You were just the one I had in mind, Dragon. (He did an amazing job with all of Steve-O's ships.) But it sounds like Esarai may have it normalled?

I did a thing with the Gimp's normal map filter, but I'm not sure how high-quality it is since I can't test it.  Anyways... I might take Dragon up on that offer.

Um.

Some parts are good... I like what you've done with those outer pylons... but texturing is WAY below current standards, the glowy armor panels are cool but too much of a departure from the original, and the base model is still really really low poly.

Plus I still think the white wavy parts where the ends of the pylons are and on the bridge look like subspace opening textures.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
So the planets are real? Like, you can fly under the rings and everything? Or is the ring real and made up of asteroids and the plant is just there so you cant crash into it...I'm confused. XD

How the heck could you fly under the rings? They're 1000's of kilometers away, and the engine will kill you if you get past like 150 km... Also, the screenshots give no indication of any of the 'features' you imagined. Also, yeah, they're just skyboxes.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
If you took the time to fly all the way to those rings at Freespace speeds we would have to retitle the mod to Bore in Heaven.

However, it would go well with Rian's suggestion for the title of BP3.

Have I ever mentioned that I love those new Shivan beams?  They look like the fingers of Death itself.
