Because of the post-processing? Yeah I was playing on a 3.6.11 build, all I get are some soundtrack errors on startup but they really don't do anything, other than that there's no problems at all.
What last picture?

Those asteroids are released and BTRL is pretty much dead.
I think it means that you can use them without any problems.
A lot of other stuff from there is very widely used and Cylon Bomb Flare is everywhere.
