Doing Nebula Backgrounds

(1/3) > >>

IceFire:
Hey everyone!

This seems to be a laregly art dedicated forum so I'm going to post this here (perhaps we should just have an art forum?  ).

What's everyones techniques on making background nebula.  Its something I've been pondering for a while and I have made some progress but so far I've just been using a spray brust from PSP6 and playing around.

Whats your techniques?

Pez:
The mod nebulas (it spelled in another way I can't remember) I've made that you can use with FreeSpace 2 are really easy to do. There's a filter called "Cloud" In Photoshop witch can make nice looking nebulas.

As for nebulas in rendered pics it's just a function in 3DS Max called RGB Tint. Using the spray brush and a little blur works equally as good and you have more control over what your doing if you compare with my method.

Setekh:
Go to Flaming Pear and pick up the Glitterato and LunarCell plug-ins. Prepare to be amazed.

Shrike:
I figure this'll fit better in here.

And those flaming pear plugins are sweet.  Very well done little programs.
