Just forget FS3, the only and the only FS3 will be developed by Volition. Period.

There might be someday a fan made expansion for FS2 based on lately released source code, but that's about it.

OK so there is probably some copyright or somthing preventing us using "Freespace" but whats stopping us using "Free-space"

Actually I doubt there is any such copyright, since Freespace was originally a hard drive expansion utility before the game came out. :D
