but at jpg, the image looks horrible, and doesn't really save any space(the original image is a 16 color BMP and it takes only 240KB space, 80% packed jpg took 205KB)

and i suspect it doesnt allow direct linking because my account in photobucket has "*" in it...(well i do have another e-mail adress, so i could get another photobucket account, or use another image host. anyone know any other than photobucket?)

bleh just noticed a GIF takes only about 60KB...

however, i can open it in FRED2 after pressing "ok" in the error messages(yes, it gives many error messages that are similar to that one, but the texture name alters a bit*)

in attempt on playing, it gives the same error messages, and if i continue, the game freezes after a blank story screen(those before some briefings) and the only way to get out is by restarting computer

*the texture names are: 'cruiser01b-01a' , 'cruiser01b-02a' , 'cruiser01b-03a' , 'cruiser01b-04a' , 'cruiser01b-01c' , 'cruiser01b-01b' , 'cruiser01b-01a' , 'cruiser01b-02a'

this is the order they got reported, so there are same textures many times. all refer to same model



well, the FRED view looked very interesting indeed

(btw i dont have any mods or stuff, just the straight from the (sci-fi sim of the year edition) box version of the game)
