Title: Clash of Titans II error

After i complete the red alert mission that happens after Clash of Titans II, i escape the supernova, jump at the node then end up at the main game screen without any debriefing, then when i try and go back to the briefing room, it just takes me back to the red alert mission again, happened twice, really frustrating.
Someone help D: Arrrr!

Do you have the movies installed? Download this: http://www.freespacemods.net/download.php?view.128 and unpack it into your FS2 directory.

If that doesn't work, select a debug build in the Launcher (called fs2_open_3_6_10d.exe), play the mission, and then post the fs2_open.log from the data folder here.

Thanks for the quick reply, what are the filenames and where would the movies be if i did already have them? I'd like to check before i download a 250mb file.

There should be 10 large-ish files ending with the file extension .mve. Alternatively, if you have the FS2OGGcutscenepack.vp, you can skip downloading the files and get straight to the debug build.

I don't have them so that's most likely the problem, downloading them now, i'll post again if i still have troubles, thanks again. :)

Ok, i've downloaded the cutscenes and put them in my Freespace 2 folder, now it plays the movie after the mission, then just goes to the main screen and it's back to square one when i try to continue, also, i ran it in the debug build and it didn't even get past the part where i "accept" the red alert mission D:

You do know that the game is over after that point? That Apocalypse is the last mission? There is no debrief after that.

As for the assertion, download this (http://www.mediafire.com/?dyejkjlqmm3) and put it into mediavps\data\effects.
Also note that your GPU is barely able to run FSO with mediavps enabled. Fs2_Open really wants to use OpenGL 1.4, which your card just doesn't offer.
