I was playing through the new fsport 3.2 (with mediavps 3.6.12). I have completed the 3.1.1 version (with mediavps 3.6.10) very recently, but I wanted to see what was improved. Everything was fine, until that mission where you have to destroy the Eva (Evangelist).
Less than 30secs into the mission, while I was using afterburners to get into position, the game froze. The afterburner sound continued playing, but nothing would move ingame. I ctrl+alt+del'd my way out of the game and got a not-so-surprising Windows message: the program encountered problems and must be closed. So I closed it. However, even after closing it, the afterburner sound continued playing and wouldn't stop. I tried playing music to see if another sound would make it notice it was obsolete, but it didn't work.
Next thing I though: "if I relaunch the game, maybe using that same sound file again could make it stop...? Oh well, let's try... worst case, I simply reboot the computer and it'll be fine." BAD IDEA. At the start of the mission, I got a BSOD: PROCESS HAS LOCKED PAGES o.O Oh well, I was pretty much about to reboot anyways... no big deal I guess... note that the afterburner sound was playing over the BSOD. lol.
After the reboot, I launch the game, and find out that the pilot list is empty, so I'm prompted to write a new name. WHAT??? I had only one pilot, and only used it for fsport, and he's gone.
Sooooo... Any idea what happened here? Any chance of getting my pilot back (I don't want to go through all those missions for a 3rd time now >_> ). And if my pilot's dead forever, any way of not replaying all the missions to get there again? ^^"
