Apparently I was banned indefinitely without possibility of repeal.  Wonderful.  I wasn't even on the server in the past 3 weeks.

There goes my only reason to play Minecraft.

What? I'm not aware of this. It might seem a stupid question, but are you connecting to the right IP? Is it actually saying that you're banned?
Not able to admin the server until tonight, but I'll look into it.

It's still there, thoroughly breaking dynmap from what I understand.

Oh, dynmap works now, it's no longer causing crashes.
However the hosting company hasn't told us what ports are open, so we can't actually bind it to a useable port without a lot of trial and error.
I'll nmap the IP tonight, see if that helps shed some light on it.

Happens to me quite often, actually; usually due to the severe lag issues I have, although ironically, by the time I die, I'm usually so lagged that the server never gets the message that I died, so it all evens out.

Maybe a trick can be to make your /home 3 blocks above the ground for safety measures.

Having it set on a level above also works... for the most part. I haven't died that way in a long time, not entirely sure what really causes it.

I think I might like the old cobble better. The new cobble makes my leaning tower look odd.

I had to get used to the cobble at first but now it really looks a lot more like actual rocks/cobble in cement as it's supposed to.

I can join other servers, and yes I updated.

It's giving me an error I don't usually see and can't be mistaken for anything else:  You're banned, bro!  (paraphrased)

Many games and programs often give wrong messages when they don't comprehend what's wrong. If a port is blocked and you get ejected at a certain phase of joining a server, it may misinterpret it for being banned. And that's just one example.  I just did some googling and it seems more people got that problem, where server hosts replied indeed these people were not banned. One of these servers used MCbans, which they abandoned probably for that reason. It's probably an error.
