Title: Joystick Help
Post by: santange11 on August 16, 2018, 12:51:38 am
Hello All,

I can't believe I've found you guys. This was my favorite game as a child I I am excited to see what this community did to keep it alive and well. However, I could use a little help getting setup.

Currently I have an x52 Pro and Pro Combat Rudder Pedals which I am considering replacing with the Thrustmaster T.16000 HOTAS with pedals (may with the Warthog Joystick) when money allows because the X52 has too big of a dead-zone, too wobbly, and no easy way to adjust the sensitivity curve. Regardless of setup, the design of this game does not allow for multiple devices that I am aware of. Is there a way way to use all three devices (joystick, throttle, and rudder pedals) can be used at once, and effectively, in this game. Or is there a guide someone could point me towards.

Thank you guys for keeping this game alive and well. I can explain how excited I am to be able to play this game again.

You will have to use something like ppjoy, but it can be done.  Some of the links in this thread may be helpful:

Good luck!

Universal Controller Remapper (https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=12249) lets you convert multiple physical controllers into single virtual controller. It also requires vJoy (http://vjoystick.sourceforge.net/site/index.php/download-a-install/download).

It is a bit tedious to set up as you need to bind each button and axis one by one.
