Has anyone tried an extreme Aestival vs Terran fighters battle?
You flying the Cyrvan fighter of course  :p

Or tried to "simulate" the simulator thingy that Cyrvans use, and normal Terrans are supposed to get to Level 3...

Re: Has anyone tried an extreme Aestival vs Terran fighters battle?
I've FREDed several Aestival wings jumping in from 7k above the plane to save a LSF battle group under attack by a combined Nordera-Fur'something ambush. Guess what happened to the LSF fighters during the resulting Malachyye Missile Massacre.

To put it in perspective...
These are the reinforcements the LSF is receiving.

The reinforcements have chosen their targets.

...which is a bunch of LSF and Nordera/Fur'something fighters in a dogfight.

...and the Guardian Angel.

...and taking out another bunch of LSF/Nordera fighters to my bottom left...(that piece of debris is proof)

So, this Adasya jumped out in front of me. Guess what happened to Azure 1?

...Aestivals should avoid working in large groups, I've gathered so far. Especially not when you have FIVE wings of Aestivals. In a head-on joust against enemy fighters, most of the Aestival losses (and enemy kills) would be from friendly Malachyye fire the second everyone shakes hands.

Lol, the sea of turquiose swamps everything!

One Aestival vs. a lot of Terran fighters, how many can you (HLP'ers) handle?

Re: Has anyone tried an extreme Aestival vs Terran fighters battle?
Depending on the fighter, AI level, location and their weapon loadouts though. On the first wave with two Ray Mk.IIIs with default loadouts and Wingman excellent, I took them out easily. Second wave of four Ray Mk.IIIs with default loadout and Wingman excellent, took them out by opening up on them with Malachyye Missile Massacre then picking them off with primaries. Third wave, four Caliburn-Cs...well, that didn't end so well because I had to slow down to even shoot at them, which I got mauled by massed laser/pulsar/missile fire from the other three. I should try emphasizing on the Aestival's strength, by gliding and letting them bunch up trying to chase me...

Did....Did the Aestivals just fail at an Itano Circus in an anime themed space battle?

Thats kind of a big black mark on the Space Elves, if you ask me

Wait what, Spoon...you mean...that mission where you got to choose which Ray to fly...wasn't a gauntlet?!

Oh uh, PsychoLandLord, I don't think the Cyrvans are the ones who failed...more like a Terran. See the attached.

Massive amounts of Friendly fire qualifies as failing :p
