Target view looks bad
N00b question - honestly it might be "normal" (it used to be 10 years ago) but whenever I target anything, the object in the target view will have much lower quality than whatever I'm looking at through my cockpit.  It pretty much looks like Retail.

I couldn't find an option for that in the Knossos launcher.  Is there some kind of command line I can add manually to fix this, or is it that this fix wasn't implemented yet?

Re: Target view looks bad
I'm reasonably sure that the default is to show "LOD1" in the targetview, i.e. a deliberately less detailed model than what's in game. There's modding option to use a different LOD in the targetview.
