Hi All,
I am new to this Forum but no stranger to FS2.  I originally played FS2 when it came out and was massively impressed with the game play etc for it's time.
I have taken 15 ytears  out of gaming all together though and am now massively behind.  I recently was offered a gaming laptop for peanuts with an RTX2060
cardin so I took up on the offer and yet here I am focusing on games form 20 years ago!
I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem I am having with the MODs I have downloaded.   I use a Logitech Wing-man for control (I know, many would say
I'm better of with a mouse).
In the standard FS2 the joystick works fine.  However when I use any MODs I find that the 'role' function when I twist the joystick handle no longer works.
Go back to FS2 and it works again.  I have looked at the settings and they do look different in places but Bank left and right is set up the same in both versions.
I tried setting it up manually but I have no idea how to bind twisting the joystick with bank leftor right anyway.  Surely there is a .ini file somewhere that I just need
to copy over? has anyone else experienced this? Sorry if I sound like a first class nob, be gentle  with me, I'm 50 year old now so not as sharp as I once was :banghead:

Any advice and help to get my joystick working properly would be really appreciated.  I want to play all the missions again but experience all the wonderful
graphical improvements that people have put their time into.

Cheers

In the settings you want to set "Bank Axis" in the Ship tab (instead of Bank Left and Bank Right). Select that control, click "Bind" and then twist your joystick handle. It should say something like "Joystick Z Axis". Then click on the Accept button. You might need to do this for each campaign you play, you'll definitely need to do it for each pilot you create. Hope that helps!

Thanks every so much, I really didn't expect one so soon and it worked a treat.
I'm now going to run through the standard mission with the upgraded textures etc. Sod Far Cry5!

Playing Freespace instead of Far Cry 5? I applaud your priorities, sir. (Take my compliment with a grain of salt, however; I never got around to playing any of the Far Cry games. When it comes to FPS games, I'm far more of a Half-Life and Dark Forces/Jedi Knight man.)
