When did specific weapons/ships enter service?
From the campaign we know when Alpha 1was aUTHORIZED to use them. but when tehy were available is another thing.

What I do know for sure:

- Prometheus S (made available at the time of Colosus deployment, when enough gases were gathered to continue production)

- Erynies and Kayser (used by SOC early in the campaign, but made available at the end of hte campaign)

For other I'm not sure when they entered service....

The Kayser was around for quite some time. It's used in the Operation Templar campaign, which seems to have taken place several years before the main campaign. Even at the end of the main one it still hasn't been widely distributed for some reason (it's in a "limited opeval period").

The Kayser is only in Templar to give a non-ported substitute of the Banshee. Templar was likely shortly before FS2 or some time after FS1, well-before the Kayser would have been available.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Keyser's are an interesting weapon to track through FS2.  I wouldn't say their appearance in Templar is canon as them being old, but they appear in the FS2 main campaign as early as Slaying Ravana (a cookie to the person who figures out where).  They're used by the SOC Skull squads in Love the Treason and Hate the Trator, and become available to the player directly in the second SOC loop (As Lightning Fall).  One would surmise that they've been in R&D since around the beginning of the NTF rebellion, and are only completed around the start of FS2, give or take.

Oh yeah. We saw Kayzers in Templar for a simple reason. Command gave access to Kayzers to good and skilled pilots. People who wont die (like the rest of ur wingmates) and waste the guns. You get them As a SOC and after cauze they deem u good enough.
Templar was cauze they were in a urgent situation and wanted to ensure the sucess of the operation, so they gave better weaps.

Would this sound correct?

I think I go with the Banshee substitute idea. Templar was right after the FS1 main campaign; Kaysers are effective enough that I would expect them to be fairly common once the FS2 main campaign rolled around.

It's hard to tell really. It could be that they were very expensive to produce, so they reserved them for only the top priority missions (similar to the Helios). Or prone to failure maybe. It's not that hard to think of reasons why it might be there, especially given how it seems to exist almost all the way through the main campaign.

Templar takes place was several years before FS2, since there are no beams, but long after FS1, since the GTVA exists. (that means roughly between 2345 and 2360)

You can get the Valkyrie and Herc I dates because FS1 command briefings are dated.

No actual date is ever given for Templar.  However, since it is a GTVA operation, it must occur after 2345, some 20 years before FS2.  Take that for what you will.

When did specific weapons/ships enter service?
Because no Subachs were available in Templar -- and one would think those got produced pretty quickly once the GTVA selected it as its primary of choice, since the tech did already exist -- I would estimate that the Templar campaign took place in or around early 2346.

So we hve a pretty good idea on Subachs and Kaysers..what about others?

I think that the Prometheus R was long in service.

My biggest question is when did fighters/bomber entr service..like the Perseu...was it around before the Sixth Wonder?

The Perseus wasn't.

This sortie will be the first combat field test of the Perseus intercept fighter, so let's put on a good show.
.

Of course it's possible that like the Eyrinies SOC had it earlier but no one else did. Same goes for the Pegasus too.

i'm not so sure. Templar was before the Second Great War, and the R&D people of the GTVA were researching Shivan weaponry during the 2nd Great War. Technology wasn't very advanced during that time, and the ships weren't capable of handling such an energy drain at first.

IMO, anyway. I agree with the Banshee subsitute, although i can't understand why they couldn't just port over the banshee from FS1.

I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. Because the tables had to be validated for online play.  Adding a weapon that isn't used anywhere else for something almost certainly done after table balance was all said and done wouldn't have been a good idea.
