Volition To Become Part Of Gearbox

I know it isn't their main franchise but Gearbox did the Homeworld Remastered games and they're working on Homeworld 3.

Do you think there is a possibility that we could be seeing a Freespace sequel or a remaster in the future?

Huh. So it looks like Interplay bought the IP almost ten years ago, guess I've been living under a rock. I wonder if they'll ever do anything with it other than sell it someone else.

At least we have the SCP with all the upgrades but Freespace 3 would be something else.

Volition = Game Engine
Interplay = IP
THQ = Multiplayer Code

Am I correct with this information?
