Shadows of Kraken wasn't all that bad actually. Maybe it's bad compared to the JADs and Vassago's Dirge or some of the campaigns from other members, but not too bad in its own right. It has some obvious quirks that I accidentally discovered by playing on Very Easy without noticing (Hostile Terran ships were never missing with their AAA beams, found out they were AAAf's), couldn't finish the fourth or fifth mission from certain objectives or events never occuring, and a Captain flying an Elysium, of all things (Which on the note of dialogue some of it is of substandard quality).
It's a short, quick campaign that despite being a first release it didn't leave me headdesking every ten seconds yelling "What the **** is this ****, what is going on here nothing makes sense!"
It was worth playing at least one time.

oh come now! SoK wasn't THAT bad! not to mention that it did serve it's purpose and evolved into the masterpiece that is vassago...

Hey, let me be hard on myself on old campaigns. :p

Abso****lutely not. You inspired one of my mad theories about the nature of Shivans with that campaign.

:wtf:
I'm not sure how to take that...

Just finished SOK.
It feels like a first campaign, but why are you so hard on yourself? I found it pretty entertaining none the less.
I am impressed with your attention to wing management and deployment times. I still have difficulty with getting that just right.
From time to time I was tasked with destroying capital ships as a fighter, so I just time compressed until the friendly capitals in the area cleaned them out. In some cases this would have taken awhile otherwise.
You can definitely see improvement from this campaign to your more recent ones: more use of the features, integrated modding and artwork, better use of gameplay to engage the player, as well as more overall attention to detail and presentation. As much as you seem to enjoy making silly campaigns, I imagine your ability to make serious ones is also very good.
2nd to last mission broke on me, but eh.
Last mission was interesting. Your plot development certainly was not lacking when you first took up freding.

Thread spleeet because people can't take a hint about how bad SoK is supposed to be!
:(

SGWP2 > SoK
Discuss.

SGWP2 is "so bad it's awesome," so that's not saying much.

Someone didn't play VD. Why didn't you play VD?
Or maybe someone saw VD as a silly campaign. :p

I did play VD, but I consider VD an outlier on the comedic scale of Axem's body of work.
Perhaps my comment was unwarrented, I just wanted to remark that Axem is not a one trick pony.
