Considering I spent the entire mission uttering profanities and deliberately wiped the mission several times because I refused to disarm to Iolanthe or Denaira.. I was super jacked.

My reaction to the end segment of the mission in this order

"No ****ing way, Carthage get the hell out of here. You UEF bastards will pay for this. Whats this? **** YEAH. Eat it Katana."

Tev for life.

I thought he just meant seconds per frame...
In case you didn't know, low FPS (particularly if it's fractional) can reduce beam damage to silly values (because of how the game handles beams). That's the point of the joke.

In case you didn't know, the reason everyone thought it was so funny at first was because they thought he meant SPF as in Sun Protection Factor. Like the measure of how much sunscreen protects you from UV expsoure. Like the crew of the Indus is experiencing an SPF breach. Like no amount of sunscreen can save them now. :blah:

Now that I didn't know. I don't think many people did.
People are stupid, therefore anything popular is at best suspicious.

I'll bet it's a US thing actually.

Actually, I'm Dutch and that's printed on bottles of sunscreen here. So that was also the first thing that popped into my mind when I read that joke.

How would I ? Sunscreen is for people who go outside.

Something along those lines.

"Captain, we're getting a Priority One transmission from the Carthage...it says that the fighter designated 'Deva 2' is confirmed to be QuantumDelta."
"QuantumDelta?! Active the Plot Armor NOW! Divert power from auxiliary beam cannons if you have to! Deploy all available wings to provide close escort of our forward beams!"
 "Plot Armor engaged, sir!"
"Deploy bomber wings to several of their flanks, no closer than seven clicks out! We need to do everything we can to draw that monster away from the fight."
"Captain, Deva 2 is still incoming, by himself! No, wait, there's a support ship following him in!"
"Overdrive the point-defense beams and pulse turrets! All hands, brace for emergency maneuvers!"

Id argue receiving that transmission would warrant immediate surrender.  I know I would, or I would at least withdraw.

Then meson bomb the site from orbit, the only way to be sure.

Re: "Oh my God Katana, we're reading a massive incoming subspace transit..."
Completely failed to give my first thoughts. They were:

When the massive subspace transit line should play I thought nothing. When the cutscene started and you see that destroyer sliding in I thought "Oh... ****."
Then proceeded to stay very close to Indus.

The fact that you actually have to do what your orders specify in BP2 is very nice (and got me killed on several occasions). I'm used to disobey orders by FS2 command. They're tards.

Reading an incoming "well, actually..." from Battuta!

Re: "Oh my God Katana, we're reading a massive incoming subspace transit..."
I honestly thought the Shivans were about to appear and perform a kill steal on the Carthage, but then the cutscene played and I was thrown back into WiH's reality in a split second. I wasn't completely wrong judging by that Sathanas waiting in subspace to defeat us if the Carthage did get destroyed though. Would've been interesting if you could trigger the Sathanas to arrive -just- as the Imperieuse and it's group arrives, suddenly the whole situation might be a lot different..

Sensors Officer: "Sir! incoming subspace transit!"

Rear Admiral Leinonin: "Impossible, what is it?"

Sensors Officer: "Sir it's... it's the Shivans! a Juggernaut has jumped in sir!"

Rear Admiral Leinonin: "Oh my Steele, inform the Admiral at once!"

Mr. Cuddles has arrived.

"Prepare to be hugged!"

Re: "Oh my God Katana, we're reading a massive incoming subspace transit..."
Doesn't Cuddles have his forward beams replaced with AAA ULTRAs? The Imperieuse has a better chance than it first appears.
