So I find it amazing that no thread about Limit Theory has been brought up yet.
A one man show with a very successful kickstarter campaign and an extremely interesting approach on development, albeit not entirely original. The idea falls in the "procedural generation game design" trope, but I'd say the results so far have been nothing short of awesome.
I really like his approach and I'm extremely interested in the end result. Here's his latest development video (end of september):

I've been following this keenly. I'm bummed I missed the Kickstarter, but I'll definitely be grabbing a copy upon release.
-
This seems really awesome, I like how he is giving us updates every few weeks. Thanks for posting about this, LD.
-
Josh most make update!
And so he did!
Crazy editors. Just crazy.
Modders everywhere, this is nuts :D
-
From the title I I half expected somebody was countering Moore's law. :P
-
I don't know what game is that, or what is he aiming to get but oh boy.
That editor layout **** looks awesome, wish we had something like that for freespace :(
-
(haven't watched it yet but it's promising).

Holy space rock economy batman!
-
could use some colours other than orange and blue
-
Hopefully not, otherwise it could get too fenzy and important infos are tend to be overseen.
-
Not the amazing update one should hope for at this point, but given how this is a modders forum, I think you all should really like this video.
-
I love how this all evolved from "There probably won't be any modding" to "Turns out, all the tools I need to make this game would make modding actually fun and workable, so look forward to that".

Nice update here:
-
It's... very teal and orange.
-
ahah you're so right. Well at least we know that's 100% moddable. And oh so easy at that, I'm quite fascinated by the easeness of this. It's like FSO Lua scripting on superhero pills.
-
I was following this for a while now.
The project is extremely promising.

Octember dev update. Dose rings........
