Jesus.  I went two miles left before I hit the edge, and what had to be a mile and a half down.  Another mile and a half or so right, and even, at one point, what felt like a mile up.

Impressive.  And also superbly detailed.

I didn't.  I just went to the top of that one tower in the middle of nowhere with the support cables spread out for a looooong way.

im not sure if the highest point is that radio antennea to the east or that sears tower looking thing to the west. i never found the top. i think i managed to explore the entire cave system though.

I'm pretty sure the Sear's Tower looking thing (the one with the guys talking about records on top) is the tallest thing (that connects with the ground).

That said, I have no clue if there's some random "roof" stuff.  I didn't bother going to check.

Man, now I just want someone to take the whole thing, and blow it up to one file so I can zoom out and see just how ****ing huge it is.

A few people seem to be working on that; I saw one that was essentially a Google Maps take on it.

While I'm thinking about it, that Lego thing that Nuke linked was pretty jaw-dropping too.

Apparently the big thing near the beginning is the tallest thing on there, although there are things higher than it.  Like whales.

i looked at the javascrip aparently the thing loads a bunch of tile images.

the png files are stored at http://imgs.xkcd.com/clickdrag/

the file names are a things like n4e7 or s3w4. im not quite sure how many there are, it would be a major pita to download all the images and composite them into a single image.
