Scratch that, after getting some information from Goob, my stuff looks like it was done by a retard with crayons.

In order to adjust for professionalism, this'll take a bit more time than expected. Perhaps till the midle of Febuary.
Your what?

EDIT: And how come BWO isn't in th hosted sites list?

I'm still in the forum database i guess yall never delete anything.   i would like a progress report  Thanks
FROM FS1
When the destroyers came for us, we attacked. Never had we been defeated. They were like the others: strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others: They did not die. We made our first retreat. We could forego one system. We left it to the destroyers and went elsewhere. But they followed. They hunted us. They followed us when we retreated, discovered where we lived.
For a long time we did not know why they chased us. They were no ordinary enemy. They did not seek our territory, our technology, our resources.
Now we know our crime was sin.

I don't think you will get one.  Anyhow I doubt that it would be very different from the last progress report.

I estimate Christmas 2009 as being the most probable release date.

I think that's what he was originally hinting at.

Of course they are, he asked an unanswerable question... they are going to be released at the same time. :nervous:

Does anyone honestly believe their projections will be true? (DN, not BWO)

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
Couple of things, will the missions be easy/difficult? Also upon installation of BWO will other mods in my Freespace folder disappear due to BWO's superiority over them? Should I be afraid? Okay that was three... but oh well I was never good with counting anyways.

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
We've still to do the final pass on the missions when they'll be balanced properly, but the missions should respond to the difficulty setting you adjust the game to. The difficulty we've balanced it is for it to be played on Medium, and it really should be that, not too easy but not too challenging either.

I have doubts whether or not it can be completed on Insane though, but I haven't tried it personally.

As far as the installation itself goes, we're looking at making BWO (depending on Ace largely I'd say) a standalone installation, much like Battlestar Galactica works. You download one file, it installs to a separate directory and it's more or less its own game.

Short of that, it'll play just like any other mod, selecting it from the lancher, etc.

Re: Things you want to know about BWO but were afraid to ask
I'd just like to add that in my last playthrough of the missions for testing the majority of them range from moderate to hard on the medium setting.  That was....after several months of no FreeSpace 2...so take that as you may.  It will challenge you and there will be allot going on but it shouldn't be impossible.  If, after release, we find a specific mission proves extremely difficult for the majority there is always the option of optionally patching the mission if thats what is required.

The install, last time it was discussed was going to be a standalone.

As for difficulty, I never tried playing it on Insane, it'd be pretty... insane. Some sequences I think people would have a hard time surviving.
