Hey everyone! I'm like 99.9% lurker around these parts, but I've played all of your campaigns multiple times and you're all heros of the Alpha 1 variety.

Starting this Thursday (Dec. 17) and going on for at least two weeks, I'm going to start my Twitch streaming life with my all-time fav game. I'm planning on running through Freespace: Blue (For the first time!) and then eventually all of the released Blue Planet episodes.

I don't expect to have a ton of viewers (just getting started with public streaming, after all!), but I work in media so I have this naive hope of getting a few people into each stream and talking through various freespace plotlines, lore, etc.  I'd get a huge kick out of it if some of you could join!

I figure that eventually, If i can get this off the ground a bit, I can start having some creators on and do a little ultra nerd talk show + play-together thing -- but one step at a time here!

One last thing: I haven't decided what time to stream yet, so for the first two weeks of the stream, I'll be experimenting with that. Please let me know what times would work best for you if you're interested, and also if you wanna see certain campaigns, etc. etc. I'm all ears for suggestions!

I support this, I strongly believe that FreeSpace content should be present in as many platforms as possible (YouTube, ModDB, Twitch, etc.). This may be one of the best ways to get more people to play FS.

Great idea dude! Like Matt, however, I'm on the opposite side of the damn world so won't be able to tune in live - but catching part of what you put up prior was a good time. 

Only point I've got with it though is that I did find you a tiny bit hard to hear when the action was going down, but I'm no Twitch guru myself so I have no idea what to really do about that (maybe there's something I can do on my end?). Either way, I'm looking forward to your next instalment!

(Also had a geez at who you are - respect! I'm consistently surprised by who gets hooked by this 20+ year old videogame!)

Thanks for tuning in! And you are totally right, the audio levels on my stream are TERRIBLE. For todays stream, actually, I'd thought I fixed it for good, and the people watching live said it was good. But then I listen to the VOD and the game is way too quiet, and im too loud -- the opposite problem! Ah well, maybe in Stream 4 i will finally have average audio production quality. Very frustrating!

We kind of screwed you on "Proving Grounds," where you're supposed to knock the stealth fighters off course. The new Morning Star doesn't have a kinetic effect any more; it's a long range anti-bomb/bomber weapon. Should probably tweak it so the stealth fighters will break off when shot at, that way you'd still have a chance to protect the Oberon.

Maybe the Morning Star still isn't good in a place.

Ya know, I was thinkin' the same thing after the stream -- Should have used Tags basically every time they were available! Esp. with the Maxims correctly powered down.

Also, Thanks for watchin! Sorry to torture the 15ish people watching with terrible sound. Next time I wont just trust chat to tell me its fine... either that or noone knows how i personally want it to sound... never thought of that till now lol

Completed the main campaign today -- went pretty well in the last two streams since i finally figured out the audio!

Now, I suppose I need to decide whether to begin the blue planet saga next, or play either Twilight and/or Derelict first. Those are my finalists for next round! Anyone want to see one of those in particular (or something else? I'm open to more finalists, but those seem to have the best RP-style chatty possibilities based on what i recall)

I'm enjoying your stream.  Your enthusiasm makes it.

I think Derelict is a natural followup to FS2.  Same kind of mission design, so not a big jump in terms of complexity.  That gets my vote.

I third Derelict. Got a lot of choice words about some mission design choices but I love the premise.

If you're looking for something shorter than Derelict however, I'd say Warzone.
