Okay, first of all use the lvlshot tags around large images.

Second, the screenshots are only so-so.  Most of them have poor angles.  There's good stuff, but take the time to get a decent shot.  The ones of Ryx's carrier and the other Orion-esque ship were good, but those were about the only ones.

Another thing: remember what people were saying in the main forums.  You have to be subtle about these things; don't release tons of screenshots as soon as you put the models in.  We don't really need a shot of a support ship docking.  Release a little bit of information at a time, build suspense and anticipation, that kind of thing.  Most other user-made campaigns I've seen release new bits much more slowly.

Theres not a single shot of action... everythings just show us boring ships... a support ship docking with an apollo? jeez, use some creativity here.

That Vasudan whateveritis looks interesting (like an oversized Scarab) but there are some shots we could have done without, as has been mentioned. We've seen Athenas, Orions, and Apollos before.

But seriously, we need action shots.  Dump the stuff we've seen, and feature one good pic of something we haven't.  Such as the Vasudan Hamburger.  Make it mysterious, like a fuzzed-out vidcapture from a survey probe.

Matter of fact, I might be able to do that myself.  I have the model.  Give me until the weekend (I got other stuff to do first.)

EDIT: No, someone else make the screenshot.  I'm busy. :D

If you are making screenshots I hope your using my special pause feature, it really lets you get what you want.

It will also let you get rid of the HUD as well:

http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,10811.0.html

Aside from that there seems to be a total lack of colour, someone should shove some nice (FS1 style perhaps) nebulas in there.

So nice, but a bit lacking in WOW!

Jeez, you guys should cut him some slack. Just because it doesn't feature lots of action doesn't make it boring! I really like the shots of the new ships, the whole thing looks pretty well done so far. Well done Thor!

wow cool

i love the new ships (the fenris like thing, its got a complicated name)

as well as the new destroyer and aldo's cutter (the skin rocks)

is it just me or are the maps hi-res, more so than regular fs2

the first 2 of the second post rock

from a pure graphical standpoint (which is all screenshots are) you guys are on the right track, the very right track

put some backgrounds on there btw, looks kinda barren

once again, great textures

I will use the tags when some one tells me how to:D

As for there in action and numerous volume, well I did read the main forums.  They complained that there was no screens, and that for other projects, they always featured actions.  This is a good start and we can release them at a slower rate.

I focused on ships because most of them haven't been seen before.

Oh, I did use the pause.  I really like it.  It kind of gives it a static-matrix feel while spinning around ships.

Some guy named Hamano. Give credit to Woomeister skinning it. Also, could you wait until the main release of the Unification War demo until you release your campaign.

Would it be ok if people could make missions for the mod that are like single missions for it to test all the cool new stuff out?

Certainly, as I didn't include any good ones. I have absolutely no objections to that. You can even make a small campaign, but don't rename any of the new ships, and use them in other time periods yet. Also, if you do make a campaign, don't release it to the public until I look at it and see if it is canon.

Loads of this stuff has new names. We took out Aldo's cutter, but then we put it back in. :D

The Leo is now the Atropos. Later in the V-T War, it will be upgraded ( Much like the fenris>Leviathan) into the GTFg Sovereign.

The attachment is just the .jpg. I had to upload it there 'cause I don't have an FTP prog i can figure out at the moment. For some reason, I can't work CuteFTP.
