That effect makes the in-mission jump on the second half of WiH so freaking awesome.

Where are you right now? I wanna kill you.

Besides, it musn't be that good, the effect is still too painful for the eyes....

People, people. I think you're losing focus here. Clearly the FS1 subspace skybox is superior to FS2's.

At least it's more economical. 157MB in DDS files for a skybox is really a killer. ****DAM.

That subspace effect is awesome. Now I want to make a subspace mission with Karunas in it.

If you mean in what it demands, to be honest I think I get more of a sudden pause when an HTL Sathanas is jumping in than I do with Nighteye's Subspace effect.

I mean during the time it jumps out from Subspace, when the ends of the beam cannons begin to show up. After that everything is dandy.

I actually like the feel of FS1 better. the whole atmosphere thing seems better done. Then again, FS2 has Petrarch and Snipes...and beam cannons. But it also has the supernova (I hate such plot devices).
