Description : Thirty years ago Sol's only jump node collapsed and mankind turned frightened eyes to the unknown skies. As time passed with no new Shivan assault, the fear turned inward. The face of the Alien Enemy slowly changed from Shivan to Vasudan. Many Vasudans had been trapped in Sol by the closing of the node. Eventually the situation on Earth became intolerable for the Vasudans and they left for the outer reaches of the system. Thirty five years later, the Vasudans are about to start a second Terran-Vasudan war that will change the balance of power in the Sol system forever.

Mods - A new carrier and civilian ship.
Description : It is one year after the end of the Second Great War and the GTVA is still recovering from the effects of the war. Nearly 250 million people were evacuated from Capella before it was destroyed. A quarter of a billion people in need of food, in need of aid, in need of a place to call home. The GTVA has finally found a home for some of the people but there are always those unwilling to open their hearts and arms to people in need, there are always people willing to go to extreme lengths to prevent that which they believe is different from settling on land they believe is theirs.
Seeds of Rebellion is a five mission mini-campaign which follows a young pilot assigned to the GTAC Hermes, one of the GTVA's new assault carriers built to fill the gaps in the GTVA fleet following the Second Great War. On a shakedown cruise to test its new systems the last thing the Hermes expects is to end up in the middle of a war zone. Out gunned and out numbered the crew of the Hermes must rise to the challenge for the sake of the millions who fled the horror of Capella only to find more horror waiting for them.

Description : Set 8 years after Seeds Of Rebellion, The Mercury Affair follows Alpha 1 leader of the 70th Blue Lions who has led a pretty quiet life since Capella. Now working as an instructor in Vega, Alpha is reassigned to an active mission in Ross 28. Ross 28 is the closest star to Capella that the GTVA have access to. Discovered near the start of the Second Great War. Ross 28 has become the centre of studies into the effect of the Capella supernova on GTVA systems. What should be a routine mission takes a more dangerous turn when secret cargos begin to arrive in the system. What are the GTVA up to out here in the middle of nowhere? As the player follows the mystery deeper it leads to a secret that has been kept for many years. A secret that could result in the end of the GTVA

Description - It's 2374, seven years after Capella was destroyed by Shivans. Some systems recovered quickly from the disasters of the Second Shivan Incursion. Others did not.
Cut off from the central systems by a destroyed node on one side, and dangerous, barely controlled former NTF systems on the other Epsilon Pegasi and the surrounding systems have fallen as far from there former grace as believed possible. Now riddled with pirates, and with crime and violence second nature to most of its inhabitants, Epsilon Pegasi needs to be cleaned up.
Join the GTVA as Operation Ragnarok, the most ambitious phase of the Epsilon Pegasi Renewal Project, is put into action, and the stain of pirate activities is wiped from Epsilon Pegasi forever.

The war between the GTA and the Shivans has been raging for 3 months after the Lucifer was destroyed. The PVN has taken severe losses attempting to eradicate the HOL. Terran Command is still trying to contact the SOL system, and is not able to fight the Shivans and assist the PVN. This is putting strain on the agreement between the two species. Noticing the conflict, the HOL attempt to drive a wedge between the two governments. The GTA and PVE have put the GTD Minnow and the PVD Hope on standby status to eradicate any presence of Shivans or the HOL. The alliance is being held together only by two ships. As the HOL drives their wedge deeper into the hearts of the governments, the Shivans release a plan that will spell doom for all space-faring species. The last thing ever heard by all those who will die in the Shivan onslaught, is an alarm klaxon followed by the words, "ALL HANDS TO BATTLE STATIONS, PREPARE FOR WAR"

Description of the campaign:
You play the role of Miranda Doué, a fighter pilot in the GTVA who feels humbled by the military accomplishments of her family members and has chosen to be posted at a simple freighter inspection facility. But in the wake of the civil war, Shivan invasions in Capella and the Nyarlathotep, the GTVA economy falls quickly into decay. With the alliance coming apart, dangers from pirates and other factions quickly threaten to destroy everything around her. Miranda finds herself in the midst of open conflict and must wade into the front lines, to embrace her family heritage, and hold back the night.

The GTVA reacts violently to this uprising and hostilities begin. As a new Vasudan pilot who has been recently recruited into the ranks of the GTVA, you are assigned to the crew of the GVD Sekham as the GTVA attempts to eradicate the rapidly growing Procyon Confederal Autonomy.

- Description of the campaign: Not everyone was on the right side of Capella when it went supernova. For those unfortunate souls, there was only one option, the Gamma Draconis jump node. Over five million refugees and most of the GTVA 3rd Fleet had no other choice but dare a life in Shivan controlled territory. There is hope though, everyone knows that the Shivans appeared elsewhere during the First Great War, and that meant there was a way home.
Over the course of twelve chapters, you'll get a chance to hurt the Shivans like no other race has ever done, explore territory held by another no less hostile race, find that there are other kindred spirits in the galaxy, and find out just what kind of warrior you truly are.

You will start with space police duty, but you'll discover the greater turmoils inside GTVA sooner than you'd like to...

Adhara - a relatively insignificant fringe planet, home to only a few colonists and astrophysicists. Until the last war. Adhara had already been designated a safe haven for Vasudan refugees from the NTF - soon it was full of the refugees from Capella.
Filled with angry, dissilusioned Vasudans, Adhara is a troublespot for the Vasudan Empire. Already devolved from direct GTVA control, Adhara remains a hotspot of anti-GTVA and anti-Terran radicals.... prompting the GTVA to remove most of the defensive fleet away from the system. I have found a campaign long ago named revenge its german and include 80+ missions with new weapons and alterned ships i don´t know the author(s).
i wonder why i didnt find anything about this campaign in the internet because its very good. the terrans built a knossos gate to earth, first you destroy the hammer of light when suddenly a shivan ship jumps in
there are more things i want to tell you but if you know all things the missions will get boring:)

The GTVA Colossus and a handful of other Terran military units are holding back the Shivan advance. The plan of the Shivans at Capella is still unknown.
The GTD Achilles, one of the last Orion-class destroyers is stationed at Adhara. Unconfirmed information is surfacing that some Shivan units left Capella and entered the Epsilon Pegasi system. As there is no need for the Achilles at Capella, Command orders this vessel and a few other military units to investigate wheter the Shivans really infiltrated the system or not.

then command tells you about a knossos gate to the system were the shivans destroyed the sun... then you discover a galaxy portal and find out what happened to bosch

Lynx - Along with Starman, Lynx provides the modding muscle behind WC Saga. He is resident texturing artist, lead 2-d artist and 3-d model specialist. Lynx is responsible for making all of those marvelous looking capships and fighters. With a severe attention to detail, Lynx's ships are hardcore enough to satisfy the most hardcore WC fan.
Starman - Starman's the lead technical director, and 3d artist. He is the guy who takes Lynx's finished textured models and converts them into the game engine. Plus he makes FRED missions in his off time.
Roy Fokker - Roy is the lead mission designer, and is the primary guy in charge of making the Wing Commander Saga missions. The fact that he has made so many high-quality missions is eclipsed by the fact that he is relatively new to the team.

Gevatter Lars - One of the original members of the WC Saga Team, Lars functions most as a 3d modeler, whose main weakness is lack of ability to texture his marvelous creations. Lars fills also in as project leader when Tolwyn is not around.

haderak - Another original member of the WC Saga Team, haderak functions as technical director and 3d artist. Haderak is the guy, who created wonderful Olympus Station to be seen in the mod. He is on extended leave now.
- Description of the campaign
The flagship campaign of Wing Commander Saga, “Front Line of the Devil” begins right before Wing Commander 3 and concludes with the ending of the Terran-Kilrathi War (whether or not the Terrans win depends on you).
It has been six months after the Battle of Earth, and inspite of new fighters, carriers, and technology joining the Fleet, the War Effort is not going well. Everyday, more news of fresh defeats and losses make their way around the Confederation Forward Fleet, who have to face the possiblity that they will not be the ultimate victors.
You are based on the TCS Hermes, one of the handful of large carriers left on the front line. You play the role of Second Lieutenant David Markham, a pilot recently transferred to the Hermes.
Markham is no different from the other young idealistic rookies who are determined to make a name for themselves. Getting your commission right after the Battle of Earth, you dream of flying daring strike missions from fleet carriers.
But all hopes and dreams are squashed by the burden of reality. In every system, the Confederation forces are badly outnumbered and outgunned. For every Kilrathi fighter and warship destroyed, 10 others takes their place. Comms from HQ order the abandonment of civilian colonies which the Confederation no longer has any strength to defend. The retreat is downward spiral leading to the final stand at Earth.
It won’t be very long till Markham experiences what true nature War really is…

Well, its not a DEM theme, but i made a semi humorous single mission regarding the Derek Smart stuff... It was only released at Nodewar, and Sectorgame, but now that things have been pretty calm, i can release here... Not really a campaign though, so its up to you Skippy...

The year is 2374. The GTVA, whose navy is severely depleted following the disaster at Capella, has been fighting insurrection after insurrection, to say nothing of a massive resurgence in piracy.

The GTVA has grudgingly let them operate over the years, but only now have they truly come into their own, with groups like the Tania Australis Tigers and Eagle Security Inc. becoming well-known and respected.
You've been with Redstar Mercenaries, Inc -- the second-largest merc unit in known space -- for just over three months, watching for Shivans and scouting the Mintaka nebula. On your way back to Sirius, however, RMI is offered a contract by a man identifying himself as an ambassador for the Adhara system. It entails hunting and destroying a large pirate syndicate in the area. In need of cash, RMI accepts.

I *CAN* FRED, but I'm not an expert.. I have two missions nearly done allready.
I will even give you a small spoiler here:
in one of the mission you have to secure the area around the second knossos portal and hold the forst for 15 minutes, waiting for some SOC operatives in terran Maras to come trough and escort them to the destroyer that's helping you secure the area. Not to mention you have to guard that destroyer allso...

Origins.
Origins is set in the Machina Terra Universe. It happens 1 year after MT. Can't give away too much of the storyline, but it involves a new race, why the Shivans attacked, and how Admiral Bosch came to turn his back on the GTVA.
Mods galore involved. Current Staff is ShadowWolf_IH as project lead, fredder. Beowolf as Modeller, Meekgeek as modeller. Styxx as a story consultant and modeller, Holy Imperial Gloriano as a tester. Consulting also from Aldo as well as a couple of model donations, Karajorma, DemonKnight.
Currently 70 missions slated, and a possible loop whose concept is previously unthought of. Depends on the modellers. Current status....storyline done, models are 50% (of the new ones) out of 26-30 new ones. textures are also at 50%. Ships table is in working order..awaiting new models, same as weapons table. New HUD will be available, hopefully two new Main Halls. The campaign itself stemmed from a 20 mission concept. The storyline however is at 90%, and the missions are at 5%. Will soon have need of a texture artist and UV mapper. Also need a webmaster.

This campaign is based on an idea mentioned in a starcraft.org forum a long time ago. I dont think it was ever completed but I liked the story so much that I want to turn it into a Freespace 2 campaign (should be pretty easy to convert because of similarities between the Zerg and the Shivans). Description:
You are a young pilot assigned to the GTD Delacroix . The rebellion has been going on for allmost 16 months now, and the fight with the NTF is in a stalemate. Follow the destroyer in it's war path against the NTF and witness it's destruction at the hands (claws?) of the Ravana..
After the ship is lost you join a newly formed Fast Response Task Force (all fast ships, including a strike carrier, so you move from system to system very often).
Fighting the NTF and the shivans, your unit will travel acros the known space hoping to shift the battles in the GTVA's favor.
Next, transfer either to the Vasudan destroyer Valor or join the SOC Omega division in the darkest operations.
And finally, witness a epic battle for survival 5 years after Capella, as what survived of the Shivan Armada finds a way to escape the destroyed system.
I intend to put in some of the battles we heard about in command (andnormal) briefings, as well as a large ammount of action after Capella...

Description of the campaign: Sequel to Cleaning Crew. Three months after the last of the Shivan forces in GTVA space were mopped up, things have started to settle down and the GTVA is pulling itself back together. The Vega system is coping well, and things are looking up.
And then less obvious effects of the Battle of Capella catch up to the GTVA. Pirates are operating more freely with the GTVA's naval presence vastly reduced, and are becoming a serious problem. The last NTF battlegroup is raising hell next door in Epsilon Pegasui. And amongst the Vasudans, there are discontent voices...and rumblings of something big and nasty coming...
Release date: Late January/Early Feburary.
I've been working on this since...about the same time I finished Cleaning Crew.

Name: GTI Rebellion: Chapter 1: Rebels and Renegades
Description: Shortly after the Great War, the Terrans and Vasudans have started to rebuild their worlds after the onslaught of the Lucifer. While both the GTA and the VPE are currently in states of chaos and confusion, Galactic Terran Intelligence steps forward with its own plans, which may very well bring about the greatest security threat since the Great War itself.
Rebels and Renegades tells the story of a new recruit into the 314th Rapiers, based on the GTD Indignant. Shortly after the outbreak of the GTI Rebellion, the pilot is sent in to liberate GTI-controlled systems, face old enemies, and watch as one of the GTA's most loyal officers loses his sanity.
The GTI Rebellion campaign (in all of its future chapters) will focus heavily on characters, putting the player in league with hotshots, nervous recruits, and crusty old veterans alike.

Although these warships are isolated from their armada, they are not to be underestimated. The situation takes a turn for the worse as the Shivans resort to unorthodox tactics to achieve victory. Can three isolated Shivan destroyers conquer the enitre GTVA?, probably not. But they have something far more sinister on their agenda...
And so begins "Relentless". A display of the unbreakable will of the Shivans, and the fight for survival of mankind.

Description: Things were good for Cmd. Wesley McCrae. A squadron leader on board the Aquitane, in command of the elite fighter unit, the 70th Blue Lions. Then it fell apart. A witness to an event that cost him the life of his squad, his friends. He lost his command and is sent to far away Tania Austrailis, the ends of the galaxy. A system ravaged by pirates, and home to the Graeme-Nef'tu Group, the newest producer of GTVA capital ships, as laid out under the Nan'su Act. There, McCrae must clear his name, and unveil a conspiracy that runs to the depths of the GTVA, and explains the why the Shivans vanished for thirty years.
The pirates, led by Joseph LeCroix, are striving for controlling the Altair system and ravage the Neftu mining facility. More and more former Second Great war-era pilots leave the GTVA to face their former bread giver. In the long run, LeCroix will emerge victorious over the instable and corrupt GTVA.

Be prepared for one of the greatest conspiracies since the GTI Rebellion.
Remove willy_principal and pecenipicek from the staff lists, and add Ransom Arceihn and i as FREDers, and Pilot of the US as Beta Tester.

The Carmadine started to arrive six months ago. Since then, violence and criminal activity has increased in Neo-Shangai City. Most of the upper-class left the city and went to the orbital residential facilities or to Vega IV. This diminishment of demand, provoked the lowering of prices. This reduced the enterprises' profits and many companies broke. The surviving companies reduced its production to diminish the offer (in order to increase the prices). The increased offer of manpower, reduced the salaries which in turn reduced the demand...and so on.
The planetary council decided to solve this problem step by step. First of all, the Carmadine trade must be ended. The council is planning to hire mercenaries to hunt and kill the Carmadine drugdealers, and to search and destroy the Carmadine Space Factories.

Carmadine: A highly adictive drug that stimulates and accelerates the human organism. It can only be produced in Zero-G enviroments.
Neo-Shangai: The most important city in Vega III. It's the administrative and economical center of the planet. It's heavily and densely populated (and working on the numbers right now). 70% of its population is chinese, 25% is slavic, 5% is germanic.
Vega III: The economy of this planet is based on agriculture (located in the middle of the planet) and mining (located in the south and north poles). The middle of the planet is populated by chinese, and the north-south poles by slavic. Germanics are located only in Neo-Shangai City.

The project: Battle of Beta Aquilae has been canceled...
this is due to many problems arose during its development:
1- The missions turned out to be too BOEish...(The first combat mission had 6-9 wings and 4-5 capitals fighting at all time across the screen)
2- My computer ran too slow during testing...
3- The plot was Über-lame and simple...
I'm switching all my efforts into HomeWorlds...which will not have any of these problems...
1- you will rarely encounter more than 4 wings fighting across the screen.
2- Good performance in my comp...
3- Very developed plot...that will expand the FS2 universe. (Most of this info was extracted from the "Freespace Society" thread)

Description: Shortly before the end of the terran Vasudan war in an out of the way system (Sugestion?), local GTA forces and Vasudan battlegroup recently defected to the Hammer of Light Clash. With no shilds you will learn to respect the power that even pre beam weapon Capital starships once held.
EDIT: Yes they dont defect until the appearance of the Shivans (I just completed the FS1 campaign and will be using the dates from the GTA Command briefs, so rest assured things will be water tight plot wise.
And yes this a "no big twist plot" a sathanes wont suddenly appear at any stage, or lucifer etc. My ambition here is create balanced high energy skirmishes and battles, where the victory is based on military competence, so Alpha does not bomb everything and single handidly turn the battle. Its more like, and you will see in my test mission, Alpha Wing fights to gain space superiority (Kill all enemy fighters) asap, if they fail it does not break the mission, but bombers wont then launch, and the enemy Carrier therefore survives to launch a second wave of fighters etc, a cycle.
A lack of shilds will force you to be slighly less foolhardy, an Aten cruiser can now desimate a fighter wing if approached incorectly etc.
5-8 Missions part of heavily branching and very previous mission performance critical campaign.

Shadows of Kraken needs SCP (although I could probably make it retail compatable some day), Just Another Day needs SCP and Children of Shiva will need the SCP as well. Dev Time: This particular campaign came to me a few weeks back, but the overall setting and back-story has been around for a few years...
Mods: Currently two (may increase to four) new ships, plus some new weapons and hopefully music.
Missions: 10-15 at this time, but not set in stone yet
A bit of Background (by no means comprehensive): You are assigned to the Laramis system with elements of the 7th Combined Fleet, as the defence force for the RNI-Bergman shipyards orbiting Beta Laramis. This massive industrial complex is tasked with the reconstruction of the Terran 3rd and 6th Fleets, after the catastrophic losses of the Neo-Terran Rebellion, the second Shivan Incursion of 2367 and the subsequent "incident" involving the Nyarlathotep and Morgan Technologies.
Recent events have led to the discovery of several new systems to the "West" of Dubhe. These systems (Rigel, Arcturus, Alpheratz and Coma Berenicis) have few or no planets, but large asteriod fields and dense gaseous clouds that are incredibly rich in resources. These systems have been opened to industry to boost the flagging economy, and have allowed ship construction to proceed at great speeds.
This has meant the previously small RNI shipyard in Laramis (originally the closest populated system to the new resources, and now the GTVA's sector "capital") has increased in size five-fold, and is now the second-largest yard in the GTVA (beaten only by the gargantuan Vasudan contractor, the Akheton Corporation of Vasuda Prime). It has been working feverishly for the past two years, and now the first squadron of Hecate-M destroyers (an upgrade of the original Hecate fitted with improved systems) are due to be delivered to the 7th Fleet's HQ within the week for commissioning...
Progress: Storyline basically finished, mission scripts underway. Weapons need balancing, one new ship has been started, others to follow later.
ETR: Unknown at this time. Would be nice to get it done by next year, as I have other commitments first (namely hosted projects), but it'll be done when it's done.
Notes: Has quite a unique storyline and perspective, and should have some interesting missions to play. It will not involve yet another Shivan apocalypse, or any stupid uber-ships of doom that seem to be eternally popular for some reason. It will play more like a thriller than a blockbuster, and ideally will be voice-acted (though this is unlikely). The campaign will also ship with a detailed history of events leading up to the action, some of which may be released earlier to attract attention or recruit help if I should need it.

The distant Mirfak system is one of these places.

Description of campaign;
It is 5 years after the war with the Shivans. The Alliance has been battered, bruised, but has survived. Even though millions still roam the stars searching for a new home, the GTVA has begun to rebuild its decimated forces. Slowly, piece by piece, the GTVA reclaims its outer systems from the pirates and mercenaries who have plagued them.
The distant Mirfak system is one of these places.
As a pilot assigned to the systems local installation, you long for the days when your tour of duty ends and you can return to the GTD Indomitable, and "get some real action"; a break from chasing down pirates in rusty Great War relics, and baby-sitting civillian transports.
You forgot one thing - never wish for something you aren't prepared to get.

Skippy: Would it be possible to allow the campaigns to be sorted dynamically? For example you could allow clicking on each column heading and the campaigns would be sorted according to that column. This way you could display non-SCP vs. SCP campaigns, or sort them according to percentage complete, etc.
Oh, and you should probably fix the "most popular/least popular" calculations. I suggest using a percentage: number of hits divided by length of time on the site.

It should be noted that Transcend requires a fairly recent build, since it uses a few of the cutscene SEXPs. 3.6.5 won't cut it.

And then less obvious effects of the Battle of Capella catch up to the GTVA. Pirates are operating more freely with the GTVA's naval presence vastly reduced, and are becoming a serious problem. The last NTF battlegroup is raising hell next door in Deneb. And amongst the Vasudans, there are discontent voices...and rumblings of something big and nasty coming...

6 months after the Upuaat incident Deep in a nebula, a large deposit of ice has been found. Simple water, one of the hardest items to come by in space. Asteroids within nebula are almost 100 % pure water, and this find, if seen through to fuition, could conceivably yield 100's of trillions of barrels worth of water. These asteroids are simply chunks of ice floating in a nebula that until now has had little worth, strategically, tactically, or economically.
Due to the little value placed on the system, ownership has never quite been established, and the area has been known as a free zone.
Two days after the find, a planetary governor for a neighboring system dies, his successor has already been appointed. However others quickly step up to fill the power vaccuum, including 1 person with popular support as well as military, and another who was responsible for economic growth within said system. 3 days after the premier dies, our military friend steps up and perform a coupe de etat on the rightful new premier and siezes all assets. He also sends the local military forces into the nebula and assumes control of the ice.
3 large corporations also have an investment within this system, and send mercenaries in.
this system of little value has suddenly become a hotbed of activity with far reaching ramifications, and the GTVA is forced to react, sending in the SOC.

Story (Episode I): As the NTF crumbles under pressure by the GTVA fleets in Sirius and the Colossus in Polaris, Admiral Bosch makes a bold escape gambit. A steady flow of NTF vessels now stream through the jump nodes of Polaris, Epsilon Pegasi, Capella, and Gamma Draconis as the rebels make a final ditch for the Knossos subspace portal.
In order to prevent the NTF from acquiring control of the portal and the nebula beyond, the GTVA has initiated Operation: Thor's Hammer to cripple the rebel ships en route. Though the jump node defenses are formidable, every reinforcement counts in this final campaign.
You are Alpha 1, a pilot newly-transferred from the 3rd Fleet to a small 4th Fleet Outpost in Vega. Your home: a Deimos-class corvette, the GTCv Spinnaker, and her sister ship, the GTCv Methodus. As the Spinnaker and Methodus are called up to reinforce the jump node defenses, you have to become acquainted with your wingmen and crewmen on the march, fighting the NTF all the way.

You need FS1 or FS2 to play pretty much every campaign ever with the exception of TBP. The SCP is an additional layer to FS2 which adds new things but you'll still need FS2 to use it.

Has anyone thought about taking the campaign info from here or Skippy's campaign list (which is still down right now) and transferring it to the wiki? There's a whole section on user made campaigns, and there's only 3 articles with any content. And a large number are still missing.

You startin 2257 with a tutorial at the training wing at the IO Transfer point, then you get posted to Babylon 5 where the storyline takes you through all 5 seasons - start to finish. I have been working on this for 2 years now, the 28 mission demo of the full 128 mission campaign is available from the 16th dec. The full campaign (128 missions) is due for release next summer

Two things.
Rogue Intentions is planned to be an SCP campaign in the future, though Episode 1 is retail compatible. If you could make a note of this, that would be awesome.

Title= Dreamcatcher: Creation

Status: 3/somewhere around 25 missions done. VP file created and fully operational.
Features: Based off of the Inferno R1 VP, it'll include many of the same ships. I added a few, as well as some stunning backgrounds (thank you Singh's Background Emporium!)
Story: I am not spoiling it too much yet, but it takes place some seven years after the Third Shivan War, as outlined by the discontinued R1 story of Inferno. The GTVA's recovered somewhat, and the peace wih the EA is solid. However, some new subspace fluctuations have been noticed near the site of the old Capella jump node. Suffice it to say that the Dreamcatcher, an entirely new enemy, is the single greatest threat the GTVA has ever faced. Also, the Shivans do NOT return. :wink: ;)
Will be done hopefully by Christmas of 2006.

Description: the storlyline will be an alternative to the one presented in Inferno. 30 years have passed since the Second Shivan Incursion. 10 years ago, in Delta Serpentis the construction of the Sol Gate ended, so the Terran returned to their homeworld. The encounter with the now ruling Earth Alliance has been a peaceful one. There has been a technological exchange between the GTVA and the EA. According to this programme, the GTVA can use blueprints of EA ships and vice versa. One of the first ships completed is a Telemus carrier for the GTVA, the GTCa Steadfast. But now, after 30 years of peace, signs of uprising are coming from Altair. The GTCa Steadfast is sent to deal with them...
Release date: unknown, but I expect to finish the 1st episode before December 06

Well,I'm creating two campaigns....
Name:The Southern Cross
Author:Lieutenant General Mobius,everyonewhowantstohelpme,and of course a grammar checker(I'm Italian).
Missions:30+++(see Italian one)
Mods:No mod is present,but I have intention to create some new warships and fighters(probably) and new weapons(certainly). Some backgrounds of other mods are present and maybe something else.
ETA:Months.It won't be complete before the end of thi summer.
Logo:I have no idea.Maybe the SLSD Yorktown(Hades class) with its group.
Status:I have no choice,but I will divide this campaign in chapters.Considering this,the first chapter is 60 percent complete(I need to review the missions and create others to insert and give succient understanding).
Description:The Capella star has been destroyed.In a matter of hours and using the old jump nodes that lead to GTVA space,the Shivans commence a full scale offensive,invading Ross 128,Antares,Ribos,Betelgeuse,Beta Cygni and Ikeya.Then far the Shivans arrive,then their forces out there becomes smaller and weaker.The Betelgeuse system is invaded by a little battle group.You are a pilot of the 89th Green Dragons, a volunteer squad of the GTD Leda.Securing system after system,you'll give effort to GTVA operations....but.....the NTF regains strength,a pirate faction appears and a new terrible rebellion,the Stellar Liberation Alliance(provvisory name),threats the GTVA,while the Alliance starts its exploration of new systems...
The SLA is composed by GTVA ships and...Shivan ones.Apparently seems that this rebellion continues the old GTI projects,and gains control of many Shivans.But in the reality....well,it's classified until you play it.
One more thing:in this campaign we'll face not one,not two,but 4 or 5 Sathanas juggernauts and destroy it in different ways.

After destroying the Iota transport wing you'll be called to defend NTF forces at the node(in the game isn't specificated,but I have put the Sirius node because in case of 50% complete mission in the main FS2 campaign Loukakis says that blockade runners give support and assistance to NTF forces already present in Deneb,so they must came from NTF secured space,not contested systems),saving the Jacobus,the Belisarius but not the Hengst,destroynig the Coriolanus and the Mirage.
I'll pay attention to missions with the GTVA Colossus...I have some ideas about this I think you all will find original.

Ok well I ended up not creating the campaign I intended to but a kind of intro to the actual campaign first (Good thing to since it takes awile to learn FRED)

Description: Its been 6 years since the capella Incident and the second shivan incursion into GTVA space, The refuges from Capella has resettled in the Ross 128 system and the economy of the alliance is slowly improving. From a military standpoint however the situation is less positive, even thoug there arent to much troubles with pirates the alliance lost 1/3 of its destroyers, 2/3 of its corvettes and almost 1/2 of its cruisers in the last shivan incursion. The shipyards are running at 100% but it will be several years until the fleet is up to its strenght it had at the beginning of the NTF rebellion and the capella incident. You are a Captain Reynolds with the GTVI and are currently serving aboard the GTI destroyer Incursion however you are about to be reassigned as a deep cover operative to the Beta Cygni system where reports indicates something sinister is about to happend and that there are a new group emerging calling themself the Beta Cygni Federation, it will be your mission to infiltrate this organization and then help the alliance destroy them, but will the alliance be strong enough .................

I have updates:
The Southern Cross contains now over 60 missions,and uses a lot of mods:
GVDr Scarab,SF Scorpion,SB Shaitan,SSD Lucifer from Inferno,GTB Jotun,a modified GVC Aten,modified ships tbl and weap tbl as well as message and Species,the Perseus with added two more lasers,the SSlash,a modified Hecate and much more.
Will be also a special pack with nameplates and maps for texture replacement(Terran ships of the SLA need to be Shivan-like!)...
The Campaign is currently divided in two chapter,but they can't be played separately and contain different mods.
The mission between the two chapters is particular after <classified>,you are told to exit from FS2 an change the tbls. I didn't checked if this works,however...
The Steadfast campaign(I'm not the leader of this project,the leader is Darth Dysko and the second member is <Admiral>Edivad,I joined this campaign a few time ago)now has a first part of 19 missions in excellent progress and status.More mods will be included:the Hecate,all stuff from Inferno SCP,a modified Tanen and a modified Telemus(the Steadfast).Probably will use the GTSC Cyrene instead of the Faustus.
NTF Parallelism is currently off-progress,because I'm working on Steadfast and The Southern Cross.
Probably this campaign will turn on a Battle for Deneb,considering that the first missions are in Deneb...

Armed to the teeth with stolen technology and spies in the GTVA, the NTF produces the NTMr Sagitta and it's sisterships the NTMr Sagittarius and the NTMr Scutum. Along with a number of other cruisers, the new 7th Fleet takes the offensive. The primary mission of the fleet is the destruction of the GTVA Colossus and all Vasudan ships.

Update on The Sagitta Project:
Basic modeling is going slowly. I don't know how this will transfer into Blender, though. With any luck, the model will transfer more smootly than I anticipate. It took me alot of tinkering to get more used to TrueSpace...
So, the basic model is coming into shape. The main ideas of the missions are comming along smoothly. Right now I am trying to balance the armour and weapons on the Sagitta...
How do I make shielding over certain parts of a ship? I don't want it to be a Lucifer-wannabe, but I want it to be partially shielded.

Yes, another daily update on The Sagitta Project:
The NTMr Sagitta is starting to take a very blocky shape. I downgraded the number of engines a little bit. I have yet to smooth the model's hull out. As of now, it's basically too much of just huge blocks. I am deciding on the weaponry systems, and where to mount them. I have some progress on getting it into blender. I save the model as an AutoCAD file, and use Blender to open them up.
The first mission is in-progress. I will beta-test that with LieutenantGeneralMobius as soon as he posts it on our forum.

UPDATE for Steadfast.
In order to insert as many ships from FS2 as possible,we have decided to split the campaign in three episodes,each with 20+ missions.The new tables are finished and the missions are being revised.This episode will probably be released in a few.
The package now contains reskinned models,modified ones and fixed ones.

Or are you speaking of the Icanus? That looks... worse (yeah, I know you were probably going for a more "GTVA" texture than EA...).

Those Hades textures, even if the new Telemus is supposed to be a derivation of Shivan technology from studies of the Galactic Terran Intelligence at Jotunheim, look like **** (actually looks like somekind of 'bling ship')
The Ica - Terra looks way too overtiled. Even if that thing isn't a fully Earth Alliance ship, it looked a lot better with the standard Earth Alliance textures.
Shouldn't the Kato be on the otherside with its Ancient buddies?
One more thing screwey about that logo is that low-res crappy Earth picture.

The Telemus has these textures simply because they look nice,it's a joint GTVA-EA warship.It would look heavily armored if I could replace its textures with something like the tiles on the Colossus.
1)The Kato is a fighter,it's near TV fighters.What's strange with it?
2)The Terra(planet)was token from FSPort.Maybe reducing its dimensions it could have a better effect.I don't know where to find more detailled Terra bitmpas.Always better than the Earth POF.
3)The logo doesn't offer the opportunity of look what I have modified.I added more thrusters on both ships to fill them better with the new engine textures.The Terra looks amazing if you see it close from it.In the logo seems that there are only the lights and that armor as textures, but it isn't true.I replaced an Hecate texture on the Telemus in order to have a nice fighterbay,a "pista" like the HTL Orion(but much simple and without glowmaps,of course).

Story:Shadows of the great war is composed by four mini campaigns+an intro.The player can choose which campaign he wish to play in the intro. Except for the second campaign,everything takes place in Sol after the destruction of the Delta Serpentis node. Here's something about the campaigns:
1)Fight for Pluto.Living in remote planetoids of the Sol system become difficult.The GTA once provided those planetoids,but now every government has to produce by itself what is needed to survive. The Skarn Industries,a powerful economical entity,gains sufficient power and obtains Sedna and Quaoar from the Plutonian government.This event has exploited the weakness of Pluto and many citizans and politicians have condemned it. However, the Skarn Industries is more than what is seems. When many military freighters were spotted near the Station orbiting Quaoar, the situation become clear....
2)Obliterate the remnants of the Shivan fleet.The Lucifer has been destroyed and the Shivans aren't able to coordinate their attacks.However,forces remained behind the main force are now making their appearance.Both the Terran and the Vasudan species fight against this new menace.
3)Eliminate all the Vasudans present in Sol(a small colony based near Venus.Thye have chosen this planet because of its similarity to Vasuda Prime).Moved by racism,the Venusian government pays mercenaries to attack the Vasudans in covert operation in order to weaken their force before the open war, but the Terrans will pay this a lot...
4)Fight for the Earth government.Because its a different version of what happens in INFA main campaign,I can't tell you more.
Current Status:I have made the intro,the first two missions of the first campaign,the first mission of the second campaign+another mission(maybe the 6th or the 7th),the first three missions of the third campaign and the first two missions of the fourth campaign.

With so many refugees fleeing the disaster at Capella, the need for new colonies arose. The approach to the problem went in two ways. The first and most obvious was to expand the horizons of the people. The other was to recolonize the forgotten reaches of space. One of the fresh candidates was Procyon A. Although it had no habitable planets in its system, Procyon A had long since had a large station and, compared to most backwater systems, a large military presence. In an attempt to prepare the system for a hub of activity, the GTVA sends a security force to oversee the operation. During one of many routine patrols to sweep the system clean of pirates, a damaged science cruiser, the Hypnagogia, is found adrift. The first omen for a series of terrible events is found.
Forgotten Legacies is a non-ambitious project that has only eight missions in it, including two 'story' missions which include no violence. It contains no mods and is compatible with retail. It can be perhaps said as a Derelict wannabee campaign (there are so many out there) but it's a lot shorter and also has some surprises in store for you.
It is only a side project, and nothing too much should be expected of it. Right now I'm concentrating on MT and INFA, so this will probably get done earliest sometime next February or March. If it doesn't get out by next summer holidays then screw me. It contains Shivans, but these Shivans are not all for brute force, their goal is the manipulation of a special device which you will see in the last mission.

SotGW is on hold because of INFA2. I will continue to work on it once I know at least the storyline of INFA2. I will use INFA2 stuff, of course.
SthCrs is also on hold. I'm concentrating on Steadfast. I have decided to release 4 episodes of 25 missions instead of 2 episodes of 50 missions. 18 missions of the first episode are done. I may add Steadfast style in-mission cutscenes.
Erebus is a campaign from MP-Ryan. I will work as FREDder for it...he will post a description.
Steadfast is everyday closer to a release(it's optimistic? No).The number of missions is 25...is the description updated? The other was too old. A 10 mission mini-campaign will be released with Steadfast(Rise Of The Phoenix)it's a prequel of some sort.

Ok basically we've switched positions... I'm starting to FRED the missions. We got done a few missions, I'm having a hard time making everything make 100% sense. Work slowed down cause Mobius had problems with his internet connection. I lost quite a bit of a mission in a FRED crash, so I start over with that.

You're aware that FRED autosaves every few minutes right?
Check the backup.00x files in notepad. Make sure you copy the correct one before you open FRED.

(Don't laugh at me!) More missions in SotGW have been scrapped. Campaign 2 is definitely better and campaign 1 has one mission scrapped. For you admins and mods that have access to the internal INFA forum, the storyline has been posted there.
Campaign 2 is now in Sol. The Lucifer enters the system and ecc. ecc.

I'm fixing some problems and setting out the storyplan for Chapter 1 of The Sagitta Project.
Current progress: 20% complete (4 of 16 missions, some modeling and texturing is still required, the storyline is basically done, updating tables and the official VP).
Expected release: Look for Chapter 1 in about 2 months; myself and Mobius are busy and we expanded the original storyline greatly.
Other notes: It's still a choose-your-own-story-path campaign. Chapter 1 will be the basis for Chapters 2+.

Description: Having passed the gruelling entry into SOC, you have been assigned to Shadow wing, part of the 99th Skulls. With the NTF presumably dead, and the sealing off of the Capella jump node 10 years ago, the only thing left is to root out pirate activity. While this is a job that should be left to the regular troops, or even the local militia, SOC Command feels that it is neccessary, if for no other reason to keep their pilots sharp. So you head out on another routine op, when the day starts to turn bad.

A small update - I'd reckon the FOW Chapter 3 has now reached a milestone...
In my esitamte about 1/3 of the overall job, if not more, is done.
We got about 12-13 missions done so far, a sh**load of models and some other stuff.

Bad news..my new main FREDer has dissapeared from the face of the Earth... team has gone into a period of hibernation (including me) and we jsut started waking up again.
So delays are inevitable unless I find another good FREDer....but it's still alive and going. ;)

But right now the progress is on hold since right now i don't have time for it until i finish whit all of the University exam's. :(

Phoenix Campaign
Description: It is 2384, 17 years after the Second Shivan Incursion. You have just been assigned to an elite squadron, the 366th Flying Aces aboard the GTCv Infineon. Your corvette-turned-science ship is sent to the Ikeya system to investigate an Ancients artifact just outside the political boundary of the system, another Knossos portal. It sucks you through it and you end up in unexplored space. You meet lots of Shivans, and even find their homeworld and hijack a cruiser. When you finally get home, your new cruiser, an Orion-class destroyer, soon defects to the NTF, who use another Knossos in Ross 128 to get to Shivan space and try to contact them with ETAK. Contact succeeds this time, and the NTF and Shivans launch an attack on the GTVA. The GTVA successfully closes all portals leading to Shivan space and destroys the two Sathanas-class juggernauts, losing two Colossuses in the process. But the wars are finally over, the NTF is all in Shivan space (who knows what will happen to them?) and the Knossos portal back to Earth is nearing completion. All is finally right in the galaxy.
Mods: None, except for the Milliway background bitmaps (do they have to be included?). I might include a slightly modded ships.tbl to include regenerative hull, more powerful engines, and higher weapon capacity (it is the future, after all).
Status: One mission partway done. I need to do some debugging. I have pretty much everything already planned out (see attatched document and nodemap).

The original nodemap was created by someone who's name escapes me. I inverted it so it wouldn't kill my printer, printed it, then notated it with my campaign. You may use it as a reference or any way you so desire.

FreeSpace: Exodus
The idea:
5 Weeks after the Bastion sealed off capella, something happened. The Shivans restablized the Jump nodes, opening the door for a third Shivan Incurrsion. A full assault on the GTVA while they were already weakened crippled them. Almost all systems have fallen, the casualty count is in the tens of Billions. Mankind and the Vasuden race are on the edge of extinction. This takes place In mankinds last star system. All differences must be put aside for there to be any hope of defeating the Shivans. Here, our hope lies. And here, we will make our stand.
The planned number of missions is 20-ish, but i hope to have around 30. There is no logo, but I am trying to make one. There is no website either.
Release date: Dont know quite yet, it used to be june 24rth, but sounds like to much to do, so ill hope to just have a demo-type thing out by then.
I have had the idea for a week or 2, but just started FREDing recently.
Um... What do you think? Is this a decent idea at all? Or one of the stupidist you've heard?

Hmmn, release schedule as Snail said might be a bit tight. Especially if you're still at school? 20 missions in two months is doable with a vacation, though you'll spend your whole day in front of the computer :). It also depends on how complex/polished your missions are . . . personally I'm a huge perfectionist so I spend like 2-3 days per mission. It can get quite tedious at times.
As far as ideas go, it may not be the most original in general but I've yet to play any Freespace campaign with that story line. The idea certainly has potential, but it might be hard to do a good story. I don't know. If you want something more character driven, you could always have flashback missions, like the main character is reliving the trauma of an earlier failure. That sort of stuff is always cool, I think anyway. Though that would probably up your mission count :)

The plot indeed sounds a bit cliché-ish. And the setting is so hopeless that there can't be a happy ending without some ubersuperhero one-minute solution. Then again, if the ending is to be unhappy, it would be interesting.
And yeah. 20-30 missions does not equal to two months. Thinking about the entire plot, doing the missions, redoing the missions, adding stuff, removing stuff, doing bugtesting, hammering the missions so that they go together with the intended plot, breaking down, yelling at your computer, sacrificing items to the Demon of Creativity... al of that takes time. And patience. And motivation. And that is why I will never make a campaign.

Same here. I got maybe 2/3 through making the first mission, then I pretty much gave up for SimCity 4 ;).
