I have a strange problem, partially solved. I'm FREDding a mission for INFA: SA, and I'm using special hitpoints. Strange results occurred. I tested the mission, and a ship started with 0% hull integrity and engine subsystem disabled. I took her down...with a collision!
Two destroyers jumped in and had 0% of hull integrity. Both destroyers were easily taken down!
I opened the mission with FRED. I don't know why, but many of the ships with special hitpoints had a 0 value(this explained the problem with that cruiser and the destroyers). I changed it, but something strange happened. The destroyers I mentioned above belong to two different ship classes, so they should have different special hitpoints. The problem is that whenever I change the hitpoints of a destroyer, the other shares the change.
Solutions? Suggestions?
