Hi Firesparks. Your right about ISN placements within the episode. In this mission i originally put both isn broadcasts into the briefing. It didnt feel right, and to be honest many people skip the briefings and get staright into the game. For this reason and to enhance a more B5 atmosphere within the game i decided to do it like this. This way the player has no choice but to listen and comprehend more of what the storyline is about while in the game. I have every episode on dvd, and every mission based on an episode in the campaign has to have as much storyline and info from the relating episode as possible. It is not always possible to put the main bits for the storyline into the briefing as this deters from the meaning of the word briefing. It does take 6 mins or so before Clarks ships eneter b5 space, but this helps build the tension for the madness which is about to follow. And at least you live for at least 8 or 9 minutes!! LOL
This is quite a hard mission, but it looked just as hard in the episode. And like I said this is just over halfway through the campaign so it cant be easy!!
Your right about putting an escort list for Ivanova, that escaped my mind to be honest, as you can imagine theres a lot gone into this mission and nobodys perfect. Well not 100%. Echo does recieve a bit of damage, thats the AI, nowt i can do about that. With the AI as it is, it adds hours onto mission creation time just to get right, thats only for a few ships. When im using the max amount of ships, think how much more time goes into it. And then you get such a simple task such as to depart from a docking bay on a ship. And it cant even do that right. I first tried giving beta wing no orders so they would just stay near B5. By the time clarks forces arrived, one star fury had already been doestroyed using Minbari pilot AI. Must have been a special Minbari!! LOL
This will be a long campaign with many missions. Building the B5 atmosphere and maintaining its storyline is important. So bits like the ISN broadcasts may be included in mission to help evolve the storyline of the campaign to be as close as possible with the B5 storyline.
The second lot of ships arrive when the first fleet has been destroyed. Anyone completed the mission successfully yet and managed to save the Alexander???
