No, that mission was pretty clever in the way they did that.  Check the sexps... the installation will never appear if you're facing toward where it should be.

I don't agree. An asteroid base SHOULD be in the area from the beginning. It could have been done a better way.

I'll have to agree, save for playing the mission the very first time, I think how that asteroid enters the scene is kinda wierd.  Though, I dont have any real FRED experience, yet what you guys say makes sense as I've dabbled a little in the editors.

No kidding about the Icenisteroid.  One moment you're just flying around, doing your thing, then WHAMMO!  Big giant Neo Brick Front Installation appears out of nowhere!  Geeeee, I didn't see that before guys!  I better get my futuristic contact lenses checked!

I dont know if its true. But i think there's actually two asteroid bases, and if you look at one then the other appears instead.
