I tried a Seth on that mission a few times, but I found that my biggest problem was the lack of Maxim capabilities on that fighter.  As a result, I revert back the the Serapis each time, despite its limited hull & shield strength.

Which brings up an odd point.  Why can't the Tauret carry Maxims, seeing as it's obviously a heavy assault fighter?

The Tauret is NOT unstoppable. It is sluggish and slow, however a bit flat but still easy to hit.

i dont really like maxim, it's too inaccurate for my liking *fires* bwo-bwo-bwo-bwo-bwo-bwom *darn shaking!* and the shield damage it does is pitiful(though it kills unshielded things very quickly) so i rather go for Prometheus-S coupled with mekhu in a seth(i rather use seth over tauret, because tauret is so ugly IMO)

I usually couple the Maxim with the PromS.  Later on in the campaign, I couple the Maxim with the Kayser.  On many other Vasudan missions however, I do chose the Seth for its durability, burst speed, and above all its ability to cary Trebs (once they become available).

It's a real pitty though that the Horus can't carry the latest in the line of weaponry as the Valkyre used to.

If they made an upgraded version with greater weapon compatibility and a better reactor it would be the no. 1 interceptor.
