Re: Gift for hard-working (and going solo)
none taken... but i still think we should work on the logo and not just the text. I might try an alternative method.
last night i actually came up with a really good idea. ill give it a shot but it will take a while.

anyways... i realligned the text... cause of the warping the stroke is now a bit messy, so ill fix it up at a later stage

Imagine awakening, and hearing the heartbeat of the galaxy for the first time.
It is like a cloud, a mist that drifts from living creature to creature, set in motion by currents and eddies.
It is the eye of the storm, the passions of all living things turned into energy, into a chorus.
It is the rising swell at the end of life, the promise of new territories and new blood, the call of new mysteries in the dark.

In that pic "FreeSpace 2" should be slightly moved to the right part of the screen.

But you still have to admit it's the best posted so far.

Yeah. Simple, but it's affective. I like it.
Fun while it lasted.

Then bitter.

that one is good, but it seems...lacking in something.

Re: Gift for hard-working (and going solo)
i dont like the textures.  they are too vibrant, like the games are happy.  In FS and Halo, humans are suffering defeat.  Don't put a bright color in a game like thant.  I like the one from above (see my last post) beacuse it is dark, but has a refined element.  Its textures are higher detail and look like something from the actual game.  Notice the shine on the text in Halo.  if you used a similar texture on the halo logo, it would look more professional and would be subtle , but effective.

That shade of blue just doesn't fit either game's atmosphere well at all.
