that seems to be the most "lossless" format for going between versions of max.

So, I've been playing around with the model dump a bit. While I really liked the Phobos' Front part, its turrets and engines were not so much to my liking.

So I did some kitbashing with the other models in there, and got this:



Prts in white are UV'ed, the texture there is an AO bake I did to see if the UV was good.

On a detail standpoint, the forward hull appears somewhat under-detailed when compared to the rest of the ship.  Do you plan on augmenting that section, or is it to remain smooth for protective armor purposes?

It's probably because the ship that the front came from was at a different level of completion compared to the other kitbashed parts. Textures should do a good enough job of filling in the missing details.
