Damn, that looks really awesome. Love the detail to the shadows and different gray tones.
Dazzling work.

Just for fun I've been generating some Shivan cruiser concepts over the past few days. I arrived at this thing. It's intended to be something of an electronic warfare ship. Might make a fully-rendered action shot and tech description later.

Re: Freespace/Blue Planet Marker Illustrations
It felt off to me at first, but as soon as I read that it was supposed to be an EW ship, it felt like it made sense. Looks very cool.

Thirded.  That's a really cool concept.

It also reminds me of the SF Chimera, which seems fitting given their similar roles.

Re: Freespace/Blue Planet Marker Illustrations
Sooo cool. Great drawings!

Re: Freespace/Blue Planet Marker Illustrations
I think this appearance of the Vassago is one of the most beautiful moments a FS2 mod has to offer. I tried to present the ship with astonishing power and scale, just like the campaign does. It's easy to start seeing Ravanas as big slow Trebuchet targets, so this was refreshing.

On a serious note.

Good lord.

I can already tell that this is going to be my favourite.
