Yep, I'm looking for good screenies to use as the SCP title screen. Renders will be considered...screenies are preferable though. Use of any build is fine.
Screens featuring mod (ie non-vanilla FS2 design) ships will also be considered.
Note that your work may or may not be seen at E3, depending whether Inquisitor uses mediaVP 3.6 and how often fs2_open crashes. :D Still waiting for a message from him.

I always thought this picture kicked so much ass. The details are very clear, and everything about it--from the camera perspective to the fighters in the background--make it look very impressive.

Dont show crappy V stuff (nebulae / old subspace textures, etc)

There's nothing custom about that other than the writing at the top, although I think it would look way better with the High poly Herc and Hi-Res subspace maps :)

I don't actually have the ability to take these texs (I can't DL anything over floppy disk size) but If I was doing it...
High Poly Fenris as the focus, escorted by a wing of High poly Hercs, defending maybe an Anukhet convoy, with a LS Nebula/Planet BG set. Show off the work of the local modellers as well as the coders and PS people.

Let me guess...you would want some hi-poly Galaxy and Sovvy class starships in there too ;7

High-poly models are good...they can kill your framerate in a hurry though.

personally I have always hated those 'doctored' screenies you often see on game boxes...gives a totally false expectation...would instead rather see an 'action packed' screenie from one of the fs2 hilites (like one depicting that Sathanas emerging from subspace right behind Alpha 1 having it's back turned to it so he don't see it...suspense man...)

Question for Bob: Your hi-poly herc keepts on asking for texture 01-06d, whereas the .vp only has upto 01-06c. Is the texture up anywhere? Or is it in the media vp?

Theres cutting boxes around the beam glows, flickery lines at the engines (?)

Ack! If you're making an official release, make sure you have the correct versions of all your files--the HTL Fenris, and so on. 'Cause VA (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,16418.0.html) sez you don't.

I like Bob's Mara and Kalfireth's red evil screen. It's very nice.
Turambar's Myrmidon is very very good too, but old nebula background isn't that good.
BTW. Bobboau, can you tell me what beam effect are you useing? :)

whenever i do table editing, the terran thruster glow as the shivan beamglow is the first to go. I always rename it to sred (shivan red) and leave it at that
