What are you playing right now?

Scourge of Ages:
This morning, I did something I haven't done despite probably hundreds of hours of attempts: I finished a grand campaign in a Total War game.

I beat Rome II: Total War as the Seleucid Dynasty. Silver Shield Pikemen + Persian Heavy Archers + a few Indian Armored Elephants + a few artillery = an unstoppable death ball. One or two of those, and a few armies made of trash troops to keep order, and you can just sweep through almost any other faction.

So many times, the Lusitani, Macedon, Sparta threw full armies of super-heavy infantry or pikemen at me, and I just demolished them utterly.

Ohh, nice. Farthest I ever got was Rome 1 getting stuck in a decades-long stalemate as red Romans against the blue and green ones in North Africa and Eastern Europe respectively. If I had that save I'd probably try to finish it.

Currently playing Stellaris (custom GTA empire). Every time I boot up a new game I always think to myself "this is it, this is where I make it to the end", then an update/mod comes out and I restart.

What's your set-up?

Meanwhile in Pillars of Eternity 2, I got my character and my party killed by daring the God of Entrophy to "bring it". Too bad that's not worth an achievement.

Det. Bullock:
Pillars of Eternity
So, turns out that the Adra Dragon is very much like Firkraag in that abusing certain spells (or in this case the paralysis scrolls) and some kiting (in this case to kill all the escort she has so she doesn't get healed) is the only way to have even a slight chance. I also did the quest to get the anti-dragon ability.
That one-hit-kill-the-whole-party dragon breath is what makes the combat really difficult as even with the scrolls of paralysis there still a chance the dragon will be able to kill, grievously maim and/or knock down all of your party. Even after getting it down it took me three tries to succeed.
I've also did all the party quests, now only Craighold, the battle for Caed Nua and the White March content remain other than the bounties.

Meanwhile in Pillars of Eternity 2, did I mention that I found a talking sword that seems to get ... aroused by using it? Or that it sets you on a quest to find it former owner with all the intensity of stalking ex?

It is going to turn out to be an evil artifact, isn't it?

EDIT: Quest finished
Spoiler:Turns out the soul in the sword wasn't evil but rather terrified of the prospect that it might go on to exist, even if it users would die. Finding the original owner of the sword let to a delightfully akward conversation which framed this like a love triangle.
In response to the fear of the soul in the sword, and the guilt of the original owner (she had a hand in creating the sword by combining Cypher-skills with animancy), I decided the best course of the action would be to have my Eothas priestess gently exorcise the soul from the sword.
