I've recently tried to get XW:A running on my computer, but once I've started the game, something weird started to happen with graphics.

The only thing that seems to solve it was switching rendering to software, which looks ugly.
Applying 2.02 patch did not done anything.
Does anybody here knows any solution to this problem?
I'm using ATI Radeon HD 3600 graphics card and 32 bit Windows XP.

Hm, I ran XWA just fine on my 32 bit WinXP (but I had a nvidia Card)...

I'm almost certain that it's related to the graphics card, since there are no problems other than this and enabling software renedering solves the issue.

I have exactly the same problem with Dungeon Keeper 2. I do seem to recall that there is a fix for XW:A though.... One sec...

Take a look at this thread, it might give you some pointers :)
Alas, there is no such fix for DK2, so I have to play without Bumpmapping and all the other lovely bonuses :(

This worked for me and I'm running Win7. Be sure to check for driver compatibility

That's the bugger I was looking for :)

Thanks Flipside, your solution worked.
Prad The Penguin, your solution seems to be for X-Wing and TIE Fighter, not for X-Wing: Alliance.
