I know I still use cob export for HWBP. Just dropping my two cents here.

he doesnt know to work in any 3D app. in short. dont try to convert him to something else, because his method worked for 95% of HWBP assets. sans smoothing however.

Between no smoothing and borked smoothing + borked lighting ingame, I choose no smoothing.

yes.
It can't even load pof. PCS 2.1 alpha.

grab a model from either FSMods or the Mvps and try loading that.
If that doesn't work, dl the build from the first post of this thread again.

Just downloaded and unzipped on Windows 7... and all of the boxes are too small, it's impossible to read e.g. the normal of a dockpoint. I only see the top few pixels of the numbers. Is this a known issue, is there a solution?

Hey, come on, surely I'm not the only one running PCS2 on W7? Is this happening for anyone else too, or is the problem on my end?

pretty sure it's on your end, I've definitely used this fine on W7 before.

  • The sky is the limit.
I've also got a problem with certain new models (can't pinpoint a date). The Erebus from BP and the new FoTG ships (including Home One and E-Wing) crash PCS2. Strangely enough, old models work. It's not a memory issue because the E-Wing is quite light. Using current builds, fresh install, Windows 7.

Every time I opened PCS 2.1 Alpha, I'm getting the same error message on startup: "file ", line 47: '=' expected." Is it resolved? Or not? Is it due to my system?

The Wiki pages on PCS2 and Collada are not only out of date, the links are broken. Can we have a more reliable repository for these builds, say FreeSpaceMods.net?

I have a doubt, this is the version to be used for all the modders ? I mean this is the last and better version ?

Thanks.

The link in the first post should be the most up-to-date version of PCS2; do you have a model it's not working with?

Well, if you don't use this version, you won't be able to (successfully) open models made with it (some of the new models from the recent BP rerelease, for instance), due to there having been a POF version bump. The reverse is not true (models made with the 2014 executable will still be openable with this version).
