Hello all, I am running fsport mediavps 3.3 with the media vps 3.6.12. When I destroy other ships in game, it looks amazing, but I don't hear the explosion sound. Was that taken out in the mod or am I missing something/didn't enable an option?

In real space (in the void), we don't hear any external sounds. So, we hear only the sounds of our engine, our weapon firing, and from us taking damage. And in nebula, we hear external sounds modified (as in the fog). But it's funnier to hear sound in space as if it was in air =)

Actually, in a combat fighter, external sounds would be simulated to aid situational awareness of the pilot. This is actually a very sound ( :)) justification, not a mere handwave.
