Title: Hey, i got into little trouble with Cardinal spear

Hey guys, Im trying to play cardinal spear but I get an error. Am I doing something wrong? Can you guys give a hand? Thank you.

does Cardinal spear require FSPort to be installed?  opening port up fighter 4 is the Apollo

The folder should be fsport-cardinalspear, with a dash.  And the mod command line should have fsport itself appear first.

Can you post your mod.ini?

Awakenings, Cardinal Spear, and Destiny of Peace don't even include a mod.ini file for some reason--only the VP is included. It's probably a good idea to add mod.ini files to these campaigns so other players don't get this problem.

I guess it's because they were retail mods, so before the mod folder system and mod.ini's were implemented. Easy fix though.

My copy of Cardinal Spear seems to have a mod.ini, though at least by default, it doesn't include fsport-mediavps.

It looks like you get the mod.ini files if you use the installer to get the campaigns; here are the links to those additional files. You'll have to edit them to use the 3.6.12 MediaVPs, as they currently point to the older version.

That's so true. None of them have a mod.ini. There are two files 'fsport-cardinalspear.vp' and 'fsport-cardinalspear-voice.vp' and one folder 'data'. which contain 'multi.log' and 'cache' with 'subspacenode.ibx inside of it. And that is it. So what do I do next? How do I edit the mod.ini that Yarn suggests?

I will assume that your 3.6.12 MediaVPs are in a folder called "mediavps_3612" because that's where they should be. Therefore, you will edit the "secondarylist" line of the mod.ini. It just contains names of mod folders that you want to use in addition to the selected mod (Cardinal Spear), so just edit it into

That was the solution the mod.ini file. I edited and cardinal run flawlessly. I finished it already.
Copy Yarn files into notepad, edit them as Jeff Vader says and save them into their respective mission folder as mod.ini.
