I'm atm downloading FSPort and ST:R via Tureys installer, is the mission fixed by now ( in T's installer ) or do i have to DL the mentioned file manually?

I updated the Installer config file last night.  It should automatically download the latest version.

By the way, Goober, is the blowing up in the Karnak's reactor room another sexp or does it come with the standard Karnak?

It's pretty much all scripted, including the sensor scrambling. When the reactor blows it does have a huge shockwave that will wipe out any slow fighters, but not destroy the station outright. The blinking warning lights, blastable doors, and fog are built into the mesh, though.

What he means is that the reactor's explosion damage will not destroy the station, only the fighters.  It's necessary to add a self-destruct sexp.  Cardinal Spear did it the same way.

Ah yes. Thanks for the reminder. I tend to see the Karnak and the Karnak Reactor as being the same ship.

My experience was similar. I hard a wingman say something, immediately thought of that video I'd seen a while ago, and went "Oh SNAP!". It got worse when the text appeared saying something was on my fighter, but luckily for me I must have been moving the right way: it disappeared almost immediately. Until I read this thread, I wasn't sure if I'd done something to get it off or if it had simply been some nice "close call" scripting.

Insanely good scripting work on that mission. And the others.

Aren't training SEXPs used for all those messages where it pops up directly above the HUD? Like player-character dialogue in Transcend or Blue Planet?

First time around, I had no idea what happened and died.

Second time around, I figured I'd stay away from the GTSC so nothing gets on me. Didn't work. 

Somehow that Shivan launched itself 2 klicks through open space and landed on my fighter.
